As a professional handyman, a reliable cordless drill is an essential tool. I love (most of) the Ryobi line. Most tools — with few exceptions — are reliable and powerful. I’ve used this on “hammer” setting and it punches through masonry with ease.
I use this tool nearly every single day. You won’t be dissatisfied. I recommend buying two of the P108 4Amp batteries (which aren’t particularly cheap), but they last long and provide ample power for jobs that require a considerable amount of “oomf!”.

Given what 20v Dewalt equipment costs compared to this, this is great. No issues. Built well and works great. I use Dewalt at work and this is just fine at home and works just as good. I use a 3 Ah and 4 Ah Battery and is is very efficient. 3 Ah battery lasts more than long enough so the drill is very good at efficiency. So far so good.

Have this drill (P251) hooked to my ice auger bit (StrikeMaster Lite Flite 6" auger) I can get about 130 holes in 5" of ice on one 4Ah Battery. Pretty impressive for the cost compared to some so called hi end drills. This thing will spin you around if your not holding on. Vast improvement over some older 1/2" Ryobi drills I have. Love all my Ryobi tools, great value.

Very lightweight... Solid drill... got it for the easy light use hammer function that I don’t need an SDS for... Batterlife is as good as any other of the 18V tools

Drill works fine, as long as you're not actually drilling anything. I've tested it in wood and concrete. When the drill experiences any resistance from the material being drilled, it stops dead in it's tracks. I can squeeze the trigger and it turns fine, at full speed for 15 mins, but when I actually drill into something, it stops. I have to release the trigger and pull it again for it to start. With a fully charged, brand new, genuine Ryobi battery.

 I have had Ryobi tools since they were blue. Which is over 20 years. My blue drill still works. I thought this was a good deal. I hardly used this drill because it looked so nice. I used it 3 times in 3 years. This last time it sparked then fried as you can see in the video. Also lots of complaints about the chuck. Read the reviews.

Was a little skeptical about a refurbished item, however it works great. Good replacement for my other drill that was taking a dump. Highly recommend whenever they are available. Could package the item differently though. Pulled out a price of card board that was from a rigid box? Made me confused for a second. Great joke did whoever was packaging that.
