I was skeptical at spending the money on this system. But having set the system up I now feel the system is well worth the cost. It was easy to setup and works as advertised. I was a little put off on the subscription fee but for what the system does I feel it's worth it. I bought the Ultra and the resolution is excellent.

Thank goodness mine is working but you have to sync manually by holding the button down(10 secs.) on the cameras until it flashes amber to add them. Had to turn off night vision for better images using the built-in spotlight. It can be a hit or miss if you buy refurbished or maybe just incorrect configuration. Sometimes app will not find the hub/camera if you have VPN on your mobile device. It has to be turned off.

Update: Bought an endurance 256GB Micro SD card, you can now view the videos from the app if you are at home. Set to save on the card and got rid of my subscription. You will not get the fancier options like activity zones and intelligent recognition but still works fine. It will probably hold thousands of hours of recording before it gets full then will replace the oldest. Downside is you can only access the recordings on the SD card if you are on the same wireless network but the cloud recording still works and is good for seven days for free. Overall a very good investment.

Product has been great so far with quick notifications of any activity. Getting the units charged has been simple enough. It's been too soon to judge battery life. I do wish more mounts were included. I received 1 magnetic mount and 1 fixed mount. I'm a little concerned to use the magnetic mount on the front of my house where the whole camera may walk off.

Experienced multiple issues with home base, network/connection issues. Quality is not as great. Expensive levels of subscription.

Best decision was to purchase the item refurbished and not full price. I was provided a home base without a QR code. QR code allows for Apples HomeKit configuration. Customer service was able to provide a replacement but tried to charge me shipping but declined, they shipped it either way.

Only the cameras are able to connect Apples
HomeKit. I also have the wireless doorbell but that is not able to configure to HomeKit. It will probably be an upcharge in the future for Arlo wireless doorbell and HomeKit to communicate.

4K is only offered if you are on your home network using their Arlo App. If I'm travel or at work you get HD 1080p quality on the app. The disappointment is the Apple HomeKit you are getting 720p quality image. Which is absurd and surprising.

Also had issues with allowing access to my wife she wasn't able to change modes, alert EMS or Police in the event of an emergency. Luckily they were able to correct the issue after a network update a month later.

Also when viewing live feed the connection speed is slow/delayed. Pressing play will take about 10 to 15 seconds to show live feed.

Overall id recommend another company/product than Arlo. Purchase at your own risk. I am an IT professional by day so I am technical savvy. I hope this helps

Setup was very easy. Love that I can view the cameras on my iPhone and my desktop (although not simultaneously for some reason). The range from the base to the camera is not as good as I would hope but to be fair I have many stone walls throughout my home. I ended up using 2 base units which works seamlessly. Image is clear. Motion detect is awesome. I used 4 cameras (2 on each base) to cover the inside of my home in critical areas. Very happy.

This is an excellent product with regards to quality of video and night vision. The quality is very good. Battery life is short, about 2 weeks if you only use it overnight. I would recommend getting extra batteries for each unit that you have with a charger. That make it a lot more reasonable to maintain service of the unit.

I am always skeptical of security cameras because there are so many options out there. The Arlo ultra though, was worth the chance I took on it. I have one in the front and one in the back of my inside unit townhome. The viewing angle is incredible. The one in the front is pointing down at the doorstep and it still can see to the corner intersection and to the neighbors driveways. With a great field of view and 4k, it's an awesome combo. This camera has activity zones so I was able to set where in the field of view I want the motion alerts triggered. Connected to alexa with the arlo skill, and now I don't miss much. Sometimes the alert comes about 10 seconds after the motion is detected, but it's plenty good enough to alert me and I still know before someone gets to my door. just wish that the continuous recording plan wasn't a $20 add on, seems a bit on the high side. All in all it's great and I think I'll be keeping it!

UPDATE 12/16/21: After further testing, I find the battery life to be lacking and the service by arlo to be unreliable. Sometimes the notices of motion don't actually come through until the event is already over. That does not work for me. I compromised on having something that doesn't record 24/7 but I need to get alerts immediately. The service isn't that great but the cameras are. I'm going with a different company now.

Night and day picture quality over pro and pro 2 models. Works great with Arlo solar panel. Keeps it charged 100%. My only wish is for it to have longer range and the spot light only illuminates about 45 deg of the 180 field of view.
