5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and easy to use, the Ryobi One use is excellent.

I bought this specifically for its weight and ability to be used in tight spaces. I also really like the Ryobi One systems and having good tools that all work on the same type of battery. As in the photos, I wanted to get around areas like the power pole I can't easily get to with our 40-volt push mower or our older riding mower.
I like the Ryobi One 18-volt battery system and the many tools that can work with that one type of battery.
When we bought our 40-volt mower, there were no Ryobi systems yet. And now, getting parts and batteries is becoming difficult, and very expensive. I may wind up buying the Ryobi 40-volt push mower just because Ryobi is a much bigger brand and will be around much longer. I'm talking about you, Kobalt!
I thought this weed eater was a light-duty device, but with its 10-inch diameter cutting width, it works great for close use. It is light and straightforward to use. Plug in the battery under the handle, and you are good to go. Although small, the line cartridge lasts longer than you would think and can be reloaded with line or replacement cartridges can be purchased, but those are a bit pricy in my opinion.
A good purchase, quieter and less messy, and way lighter than a gas-powered line trimmer, I'm happy I bought this tool!

5.0 out of 5 stars Light weight, Easy to use, check out the video attached to this review of it cutting grass

I love it, I used my own battery that is less than a year old, I used it over 30mins with out recharging, it very efficient. Its very Poweful for its size, good for cutting the edge of a lawns that are no more 8 inches long, it cut through weed, but not thick weeds. It fits in tight corners of a yard, it is easy to put together, it comes with the instructions, screws, it was packaged well, it was like new even though it was refurbished, it looked as it was never used, real clean, check out the video of how good it cuts through the grass. The video is attached to this review, it goes step by step in real world use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, lightweight string trimmer

I bought this to replace a worn out RYOBE trimmer I had used for about 15 years. It’s lighter, but works as well. No problems with the simple assembly, and it uses the same batteries and string.

Works wonderful for my yard. I got a refurbished one & it really worked very well! I didn’t need to change battery. Used it for at least an hour. So much easier than grass clippers. Light weight which is good since I’m a female. So pleased with this purchase.

You can rotate this thing to be like a weed whacker or edger. I like the front handle part for more control and it does a good job.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke the first use.

It stopped working the first time I used it after about 20 minutes, then it started smoking, and then it wouldn't work at all, would not recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The easiest to use light duty trimmer out there!

I have had one before and gave it away when we moved to a condo. But to trim the tall grass and little hiking trail at our condo I found I needed one again. Easy choice to buy this one again. Buy a bunch of line replacements so you can just pop them out and put a new one in.
I find it trims pretty thick branches and twigs easily and gets them out of the way. Carry a second battery with you and you can keep trimming for quite a while. I have a Velcro strap that I wrap around the handle if I have to trim a long long time to save the hand. It really doesn’t take much pressure but I gotta save the carpal tunnel hand.

Very cool tool.
