    I liked that the instructions were very detailed! Easy enough a handy person shouldn't have any trouble and if u do u can call the help line according to the instructions!

    We bought it for our church to have it cut heating and cooling costs. We love it. It am NOT an HVAC guy. The only thermostat I have ever installed was an old mercury thermostat like 30 years ago. That said. I read the instructions and Installation was easy. The book could use some work on the program ONG side of things but watch a couple YouTube tutorials and good to go. Will buy again for our other thermostat.

    I've only had this Honeywell Home RTH-7560 thermostat installed for a little less than a month, so it's really to early to review its operation, reliability, etc. But I will say the LCD screen and controls seem to be working fine so far. And the backlighting is good, and a touch to any button will bring it on. It has had the opportunities to operate the heating and cooling systems both, and all is good. For being a very basic thermostat, it probably deserves 5-stars. By the way, I have a system with a heat pump and electric auxiliary heating, and this unit is appropriate for that. I have replaced several thermostats in my lifetime, and this one is as easy as any to install. HOWEVER, the installation guide really sucks. Fortunately Honeywell does have a support person a quick phone call away to provide explanation of what the guide is attempting to say in its very poor translation to English. Yes, the person spoke with a strong Asian accent, but was very helpful and ready to provide assistance. Particularly bad were the instructions for making the settings after you have completed the installation. There are 13 different system settings in addition to the daily operation programming steps, and the thermostat DOES NOT go through them in the steps the instructions say that it will. If you need to get to any of these more specific settings (which you will if you have a heat pump system, for example), forget how the instructions say they will appear and follow the steps for accessing the ADVANCED settings - it's the only way to get to those. The instruction's poor translation, the incorrect steps for accessing the settings, the unnecessary codes to identify what setting you are setting, the frequently almost indecipherable explanations, and the poor table presentation of the settings and their values is why I give only 2-stars. The instructions deserve a very negative scoring system, and so have pulled the overall rating way down.

    Nice price, backlight, and simple adjustments but the heat turns on a few hours earlier than expected out of the package. You ABSOLUTELY need to disable of the default "preheat" setting. What engineer thought that was a good idea?

    Perfect for me! At 82 yrs old I find all electronics becoming more difficult to use. However this thermostat is perfect. Simple on/off, change mode, and raise/lower temp. Especially easy read display (sometimes without my glasses).

    I bought it because it’s programmable, but the PROG mode was missing in the menu. Honeywell’s website is no help. After reading every word of the manual, I was able to reset to factory and got the PROG mode to appear. We are waiting to see if the programming actually works - it hasn’t kicked in after 12 hours. The temperature is at 72, the program is set to 74, so it should have changed at the next time slot. It didn’t. So we will try again.
