Look, you know what a Nintendo Wii is at this point. I had trolled auction sites to replace my old one with a broken disk drive but was nervous about return policies etc. I bought this one from Amazon because of the return policy. I ordered from rock_30_games if that matters (I have no idea how the renewed process works).
Regardless, it is perfect. Some minor scratches but I had to be looking for them to notice. The CDs now load nice and smooth like they are supposed to. None of the doors covering the game cube ports were loose (often an issue) and it really felt like a brand new console. It obviously had been cleaned and prepared by someone who knew what they were doing. If I need another replacement in 12 more years, I will buy this one again.
It came wrapped in plastic, well packaged in bubble wrap. A small custom made paper insert showing you how to sync your wiimotes was included. That is likely a common reason for return, customer hasn't synced their wiimotes in a decade and forgot they had to. The fact that they had a custom printed little card taped to it indicates that whoever is refurbishing these things does it a lot and knows what they are doing. Half of me wants to buy another one and stick it in a drawer in case I need another one a decade from now.
