1.0 out of 5 stars Listen to the other reviews - don't buy renewed

Right out of the box, the nails were not driving all the way flush AND damaged the wood. We did everything - adjusting the depth, pressing hard, pressing lightly, etc. For reference, our wood was pine. Then, we saw that one of the reviews mentioned their drive pin was broken, so that's why the nails didn't drive all the way through. We opened it up and the third picture shows the drive pin blunt/broken. Other pictures I looked up showed that the drive pin is supposed to be much more pointed.

Additionally, yes, you do have to pay for your own postage to return the item! I was aware of this as per the other reviews, but if you ship a faulty product it seems wrong to expect people to pay to return it. These were definitely not checked for quality properly. Listen to all the reviews - don't buy this!

2.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not good enough

As a big fan of Makita (all my tools are Makita), this product is a miss and hopefully will be improved.

This product worked great one nail out of 20! I am returning it because it completely destroys galvanized pin nails (see pictures) and I spent more time clearing jams than time doing the job. Switched to stainless steel pin nails and would get around three good shots before having to clear a jam.

The product is lightweight and looks good. The safety features and depth adjuster are also nice.

Unfortunately the jams are unbearable. Removing the cover plate to clear is simple; however, pin nails would slide up behind the drive plate (or whatever that thin silver bar is called) requiring more time that I don't have.

If you have the time to deal with this, then buy it. If you don't and/or you get frustrated easily, this is not the tool for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Finicky, but works
Reviewed in the United States on March 4, 2023
After giving an initial positive review the nailer is now junk after occasional use. The nailer's pin driver broke. Trying to fix with a new driver voids warranty and the nailer no longer works. Do not buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Charger mount

Mount set up quickly in a matter of minutes. If I need to rehang it again, I would hang it so the bottom of the hanger didn’t have a wall behind it as you need the spacing yo hook the drill/driver to hang correctly.
