The Zoom H2n Video Recorder lives up to its name as a versatile portable studio. The only real drawback is its user interface, which is a bit dated. But the sound quality more than makes up for it - I'm not a professional singer, but this device made me sound great, something no other microphone has achieved. I'd go so far as to call it a full recording studo in your pocket. The binaural stereo feature provides an immersive listening experience. I use it mainly as a standalone microphone, but now I'm eager to pair it with a 360 camera after hearing how good the audio capture is. At $115 refurbshed, it was a steal. If top-notch portability and audio are your priorities, the Zoom H2n is a winner. I'm thrilled with my purchase and would enthusiastically rec0mmend it to anyone looking for pro-level sound in a reasonable priced, compact package.

For such a compact thing I'm amazed at the features and the sound quality. Once you get the hang of it, it's a snap. I play it back through a little portable hi-fi stereo unit I got for my iPod back in the day - so don't through away anything! :)

When your aging and have a hard time remembering riffs , this is essential to have around. Came as advertised and with all paperwork and box ???? So don’t hesitate and do yourself a favor and buy the remote for $10 it’s handy to have for controlling when placed in the room

As a Videographer this is a great addition to my gear. Never had a recorder that you can adjust or reduce mics in post editing. It is almost like having RAW when it comes.to audio in a way. This recorder has 4 pick up mics one on each side and one on front and back. With o e of the modes of this recorder you can select a rear mic and both side mics. In post editing you can reduce the volume to the side mics all the way down to silent if you need to have your audio focused on the rear mic. Never heard of that before.

Great for the price. If you need to record music or voices distant from your camera and you you can't use a lav shotgun mic, this is a very good alternative. Would be good for podcast work as well.

I have to shoot an event where there was 15 different speakers at a podium. I had to position cameras in the back of the room. I placed this recorder on the the podium and got great sound for the video.

* (Just Knit Picking Here) wish 1/4-20 threaded hole on bottom was in center instead of toward the back off center. When connected to a handle to use as hand held mic ???? it looks funny as the hand held screw on handle is part of the accessories.
