This was my first purchase of an Amazon renewed item. I have to say I was very impressed! It looks brand new with not even 1 scratch. Has a 90 day return policy and at $39 compared to $100 brand new, it's a no-brainer.
I have used this speaker for 1 week and here is my experience so far: I tried it in my basement workout room, living room and also next to my shower. It produces excellent, clear sound with some decent bass.
Sony has a free app that let's you customize the equalizer and make other adjustments. (Make sure you set the speaker to stereo and leave stamina mode OFF)
I have used this for phone calls with excellent results and clarity. The battery life has been very good so far even for a renewed item at about 8-10 hours. I love that it is water and dust resistant as I use it next to the shower and plan to take it outside during the warmer months.
