Works well was a bit of trouble getting I to work with a actual doorbell at first. But so far they are worth the effort.

It runs on the stepped down power from your old doorbell, but our wiring was removed, so it needs a transformer to keep it from blowing out from the normal power of your house wiring.

Bought this one to replace my current exact same doorbell camera. It is dead on arrival. It would not even allow me to do a factory reset or you call reset. I Had this camera before and I used it for three years over and overall is a good product but none of my Amcrest cameras able to connect to the Amcrest app. I reset my router it’s not my router issue all my other devices able to connect via mt wifirouter. I don’t have any problem buying refurbish or new item because they gave on 90 days warranty. However, this one has questionable quality. I’m gonna switch another brand, much cheaper and easy to control from the app. I am security consultants and install this type of device almost daily. I think the problem with this device is the issue with the app or the database. Once you initially install a device and add it onto the app, you cannot rejoin it even though you’re removed it. I had tried to uninstall the camera and then the app and reinstall the app again I still cannot have the camera. There’s a fundamental problem with their app when I allow you to install you’re gonna new camera. There Level one customer service is good good, even with heavy accent, they help me explain to me and they try. Even though they couldn’t resolve my issue, they escalated to their level two technician. However the level two technician takes two days to answer one email so in a week he answers my email twice. I will never suggest my clients to get this brand ever.

2.0 out of 5 stars No what I expected

So I have now tried TWO of these AD-110 cameras. Now to be fair to the manufacturer both cameras I bought were Amazon Refurbished units, so it is entirely possible these things were defective and were just put back into inventory.
Documentation was weak - there is a step that tells you to reset the camera in order to get it into pairing mode to connect to the Wi-Fi. NO WHERE in the documentation does it clearly state WHERE to find that reset switch. I had to go search for videos on the internet (which I found) that explained where and how to use the reset button. Once I reset it and paired it up, I got it to work, and with some further online research I WAS able to make it stream to my NVR (BlueIris).
However, the picture quality, to use a technical term, SUCKED! Everything was PINK! It would not display accurate colors no matter what setting I used via the Amcrest IP Config tool. So, clearly this CCD sensor had an issue. So I returned this and got ANOTHER refurbished by Amazon AD110. I connected that one and it immediately started ringing my doorbell nonstop. I measured the resistance across the terminals on the new camera and it was less than 1 ohm, so there was something electrically wrong with that unit.
Decided to try calling support, which appears to be in India. Sat on hold for 15 mins, then a lady came on eventually offering "did you do a hard reset?" except that took over a minute to understand because the line to India or her mic was faulty because I was only hearing every 3rd word she said.
In short, not at all impressed with the product or the support available. Sending both units back and will seek out another brand.

this doorbell camera is easy to use and it provides security and it is great to have when you don’t want to get up off the couch to see who is soliciting at your door. I would recommend this camera to anybody who values their security, and who enjoys their privacy. It is easy to use and it has high functionality.

Reviewing my Amcrest 1080P Video Doorbell Camera Pro, Outdoor Smart Home 2.4GHz WiFi Doorbell Camera (Wired Power), MicroSD Card, PIR Motion Detect, RTSP, IP55 Weatherproof, 140º Wide-Angle (Renewed) REP-AD110. It might be my phone or the app, but I don’t get notifications unless I have the app open or a few moments after I close the app. Then there is a delay when someone rings the doorbell. It’ll ring outside then moments later it will go off inside. I have had people think we weren’t home because of the delay. The picture is okay, not a 4k or even close to a 4K quality picture or video. I think I will spend the extra money and try out the newer version of the doorbell. Hopefully there is improvements made.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very easy to install, and the app is better than most camera apps I have used but slow alerts

This is a great competitor though lower picture quality than the bigger brands. However, considering how easy it was to get it installed and up and running, I am rather pleased. The video is decent enough (probably not evidence level, but awareness for sure). The only qualm was that the notifications were hit or miss, for reasons I couldn't identify after troubleshooting (updates, firmware, versioning, signal strength etc..)

5.0 out of 5 stars Refurbished but arrived looking new

This video/motion doorbell arrived in original packaging. It included everything needed to install including a screwdriver and drill bit! It is a WiFi camera but requires power via an existing doorbell. It has a chime box to.l connect to an existing doorbell chime. It is small so it fit in the existing box. It was easy to install. The app setup went smooth except the app couldn't read the QT code but my camera app did so I just copied the number from there. The video and audio quality is excellent and less delay than other doorbells that sound like ink have. I was able to connect to Alexa to hear chimes but it cannot be enabled through Alexa. I would recommend this.
