5.0 out of 5 stars It’s perfect!

I have been searching for the perfect wine fridge for months and this one finally fit the bill! It’s slim and sleek, dual zone, holds 18 bottles as advertised, and is super quiet. I’m not sure what other reviewers are talking about as far as noise goes. It’s only a little loud when it first comes on and works to reach the desired temps. After that, it’s whisper quiet. And I am very sensitive to noise. Don’t hesitate on this one! I am super type A and this fridge meets all of my standards and more!

5.0 out of 5 stars It works just as advertized.

We are delighted with our new wine cooler. It is very quiet. It keeps the wine chilled in the two zones. It should have mentioned, when giving dimensions, that it needs 2 inches of space all around. This was difficult for the area we had for it. Also, it mentions sparking wines should be kept 40-45 degrees but it only cools to 46 degrees. That was a disappointment. Overall, we are very satisfied.

This is a nice little wine chiller. Super light weight, quiet and effectively packed. Be sure to note that this is exclusively a wine chiller, NOT a beverage cooler. It does not get cold enough for anything other wines. The operation is easy enough but I keep hitting the panel with my hand when I go to open it. Probably user error, maybe wonky layout. It does seem to grumble a little but after being opened and then closed again, probably trying to cool down. I think it’s a reasonable product for the cost.

1.0 out of 5 stars Buzzzzz Buzzzzz Buzzzzz

The cooler produces a "zapping" buzzing sound at least 2 x min while the compressor is running.
It sounds almost like an electrical short, likely is not and instead is inherent to its design- cheap parts i assume. Mine makes the exact sound which another customer recorded and included in his review of this product. Buzzzzzzz, Buzzzzzzz, Buzzzzzzzz; having the same effect on me as chalk squeaking on a chalkboard (for those who remember chalkboards :) I contacted the vendor through Amazon but no meaningful reply. So, shipped it back to Wine Enthusiast. Sad, as WE is well known as a sommelier organization. I bought this cooler with confidence, thinking that WE requires high, exacting standards from any product they endorse with their name; as they do when reviewing wines, but I guess not.
This Wine Cellar Cooler from Wine Enthusiast experience has stripped me of the confidence i once had in WE, sad for me, certain they do not care.
Sending it back was a PIA due to size & weight, but Amazon provided the label, and all went well.

It is a perfect size for our wine. It is great that there is a dual temperature control. Get to have white wine and reds. There is also space on the bottom for larger bottles.

3.0 out of 5 stars 6 months and noise noise noise

I've had the fridge for about 6 months. I really love the look of the outdoor which has a slightly mirrored effect. And I love the dual-zone temperature and the display rack on the bottom for 3 bottles. However, the machine has started to get noisier and noisier with each passing month. The fridge itself turns itself on and off about ever couple of minutes. So it is cycling on and off frequently. Every time it cycles, there is a click and throughout the cycle, there is a constant rattle sound with an occasional buzz-zap sound. When I first heard the buzz sound, I called the manufacturer and they told me it was normal. They even sent me a sound clip of the sound they had previously recorded as normal. But it is pretty obnoxious honestly. I like the fridge but I have low confidence that it will last based on the sounds it is making. And the sounds are so annoying that I might get rid of it anyway.

I love wine (who doesn't?), especially reds. However, living in a condo, it's hard to maintain reds at a good serving temperature. No basement to stick these bottles in.

I had toyed with the idea of a wine fridge for awhile, and finally pulled the trigger earlier this year. I did some research and the two main features I wanted were: 1) quiet operation, and 2) dual zone. It seemed pointless to shell out for a single zone fridge where I could only house either reds or whites, but not both.

This unit was billed as a quiet/silent wine fridge, and happy to report that it definitely meets those standards. I can best describe the noise as a white noise / slight hum. Enough to know that it's running, but not enough to be distracting.

The temperature zones are great - I've got reds on top, whites/rose on the bottom. In terms of design, the top section (reds) has the capability to store wines both lying flat, as well as standing up (2 bottles max). This is great because you can keep the wines flat for longer term storage, but if you have a vacuum wine stopper you can theoretically open a bottle, plug it back with the vacuum stopper, and then put it back in the wine fridge while standing up - keeping it fresh and drinkable for at least another week.

Finally - the design is very sleek / modern. Looks great in a living room. Very happy with my purchase, and would recommend it to anyone who is like me - not a wine connoisseur but who is simply looking to make the most of their wines.
