We were replacing an earlier version of this dishwasher that finally died and were concerned because we have custom panels on the front to match the rest of the kitchen. Thus we were uncertain as to how that would work. Installation went very well and took me working alone for about 3-4 hours. I only had one real problem which was that the mounting of the knock sensor on our custom panels. They assume a front panel that was flush to the metal bracket and the front panel we have has indentations right where the sensor was supposed to go, so finding longer screws that did not punch out the front of the wood panel was difficult. It would have been nice to have more flexibility as to where to mount the sensor. However, it seems to work fine.
This washer has no controls or indicators on the outside. Since the earlier model did, we had to leave the old control panel in place to cover up the hole, but it is not connected to the new washer.
The washer works great and seems more solid than our older model. The only minor issue is that with no indicators on the front, and being so quiet, it is difficult to tell if it is running/done. But it is hard to complain about that. Overall, we are very pleased.
