Updated 12/17/2017 - AND DONE! Having issues with the burners possibly the regulator now. AMAZON Customer Service is a HERO on this order and is refunding the purchase. Now to find a duel fuel range replacement and having it installed at Christmas - Santa, HELP!!

Working with the company to get parts and service for the new THOR duel fuel range has been challenging, going on one month so far. The parts are manufactured oversea and are difficult to acquire, even under warranty. The product has the simple design with duel fuel option we've been looking for, just wish it worked. Staying optimistic that once service is done both the cook top and oven will function for years with no hassle and great results.

Update 8/26/2017 - Customer service response although slow did come through in the end and the unit is working as expected. Make sure to do the required burn off (that process revealed a damaged fan, which, was replaced under warranty). Make sure you have a tight seal on the burner caps to the cook top. There are some specific instructions regarding the alignment of the caps not posted with the instructions, contact customer service and request the diagram/instructions.

Looks great, it is built like a tank, and works great.

Felt like we were taking a big gamble on this - a totally unknown brand to us. But not just that. Horrid customer service reviews on this page, and then the fact that another Amazon seller -- who has something like 60 reviews for the oven, all of which are 5 star, and all of which were posted on the same 2 or 3 dates -- has to make you wonder....

After the stove was installed, we noticed some chips in one of the stove grates. I called, Brenda P at customer service asked me to email her a couple photos, I did, and 5 days later we had a replacement grate delivered FedEx.

A couple days later, after using the oven, it became immediately apparent that the thing could not regulate or maintain the right temp. I emailed Brenda again. She said it was a known problem, with a known solution, etc. She gave me a local number to call after the FedEx shipment of a couple replace parts (tiny clips), the tech guy fixed it in 15 minutes and works perfectly. Although resolved quickly and easily, I thought it was kind of lame to have to have gone through that whole process. The tech guy agreed that the design flaw should have been caught before any of the units were shipped, but once in the field, he explained it's way cheaper to have someone like him come out and tweak it, rather than deal with swapping out the appliance itself. I get that. I'd assume that the units being produced now don't have this issue, but who knows. Regardless, if you're willing to send an email and make an appointment to right the ship, then that's all it'll take.

In the end, there were a couple hassles with the thing. They were addressed so promptly, however, that Thor almost earns points for correcting things that never should have happened. Anyway, great product. 1/3 of the price of the "big boys," and they all have some pretty horrid reviews of their own...

These ovens are toxic waste. Due to design flaws, many owners including us have experienced the same part failures, leaving the oven unusable. Thor has no functional customer support and does not respond to calls, emails, or parts orders. The network of companies that are willing to service Thor models is small and dwindling. If I had it to do again, I'd certainly go with a more established brand.

This oven looks nice, the burners (which we have hooked up to propane) work well, especially the rapid boil burner, but I have two main issues with the oven. 1, the cooling fan runs for 20+ minutes after you turn the oven off and it is very loud. If you leave the oven door open after you're done cooking it cools off and shuts off faster but that is not a good solution. 2, the oven temperature does not hold steady. It swings roughly +/- 50 degrees while baking.

This product is very comparable in cooking quality to the Thermador I left behind in my old house with the exception of the plastic rings around the dials which melt if the oven door is left open. I often leave the oven door open after I turn the oven off to cool off faster which resulted in melting the rings around the temperature controls. Tried to get to the service department and they hung up on me. What a minor mess.

This oven has an extremely loud cooling fan, so loud it fills the entire house with the noise. An irritating inconsistent whistling. Has no self clean option. Burners are not very powerful and do not reduce to a simmer even though the knobs say simmer on them. I spent over 3 months trying to get Thor to fix the issues. They rarely responded after an email and I would have to call or email a second time to get a response. They never apologized for the poor service. They first connected me with a servicer that did not work for them anymore and had me waiting for weeks only to find out that no one was coming. Then they sent servicers multiple times, to replace the fan even though it had already been determined that nothing was broken, just poor design. Both times the servicers came Thor had not told them to fix the burners which probably just needed an adjustment to remove yellow flames and fix the no simmer issue. That never got fixed. These are only some of the issues. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Thankfully Amazon is taking it back and trusting my word.

Looks great in the spot where my ancient electric stove used to reside. The 18,000 BTU burner brings water to a boil in no time and the 15,000 BTU burner with the simmer ring is great for sauces, etc.. The two 12,000 BTU burners in the back are good for everything else. I love cooking with gas and this is a commercial grade, good looking appliance.
