Does a great job of heating up fast. It gets super hot but cools off relatively quickly when you are done using it. I use it in the garage to heat things up or melt things I am working on or casting. It works great.
For the money, definitely a good value. I haven't tried cooking on it, but I would likely want a bigger one if I were to cook for my family with it. But it has plenty of power for sure.
