2.0 out of 5 stars This size listed here is WRONG!! The height is 17 ½ inches.
Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2022
We purchased this based on the 21 inch height listed under specifications. The height is 17 ½ Unfortunately, now after removing our old microwave, we have to either send this one back (huge pain to rebox and send) or spend $500.00 on a stainless steel box that goes under the microwave to fill up the gap in our built-in.

5.0 out of 5 stars I use it constantly without any problems after 3 years
Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2019
This oven does almost everything that our Thermador double oven does, but much faster. Baked potatoes come out amazing, toasting nuts is very quick and even, microwaving has many options. It's an incredible oven that we've had for 3 years without any problem. In the summer months I use it constantly so I don't heat up the kitchen with my bigger ovens. Everyone who sees me use it is impressed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this - no number pad for micro and speed oven is a hoax
Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2018
Speed over does not work. I only bought this because its basically the only product on the market that would fit as a replacement for my old oven that broke. My advice is to avoid trying to find an exact replacement for your 15-year old oven and make a normal micro work instead. Even as a regular micro this is horrible. It has no number pad, so it is impossible to simply type the time you want to cook. It's so intuitive that microwaves work that way that it never occurred to me to check for it.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like the over-the-range version better (own both)
Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2014
I have this oven and a very similar over-the-range version in a different apartment. The over-the-range version turns out to be much more useful. I think because the over-the-range version has a hood and can expel hot air from the oven there is less need for insulation. This makes for a taller interior and two racks rather than one. The wall oven version basically requires reconfiguring the interior for every cooking task.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Oven that Does it All
Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2015
I had an old oven that was a regular oven and a microwave but this is that on steroids. The advantium technology uses three cooking methods in a beautiful balance (halogen lamps for broiling, convection, and microwave). Their preprogrammed recipes make the food very well done, so I need to adjust their time downward by about 40% for rare but after that it works really nicely. Or it is just an oven. Or just a microwave. Or just a broiler/toaster. If the space is tight, this one oven does it all.

2.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work as well as my original one from 2001
Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2019
I thought I would get a new Advantium 240v oven to replace my 240v 19 year old one that still works. Well, the new one is bigger - door doesn't lay flat when open so your arms hit the hot door when trying to take things out, My oven is eye level. I am 5'4" with an arm length of 29". Front to back of oven with door open is 30". I cannot reach the back wall of the oven to clean and its finish is not the same as the side walls. Have had the oven 8 months and inside it looks like I've never cleaned the back of the oven for years. Reheat settings are too high as everything boils over when using this sensor option. Oven light does not stay on - only for 3 seconds. Yes this new oven has convection as well as microwave and light cooking but really wish I could return the oven and install my old one. Bigger is not better and oven gets way too hot and takes too long to cool if you need to change trays from metal to glass for using the microwave. I would not buy this oven, but love my original one and it never had a service call and looks brand new inside the oven and out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after less than 20 uses
Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2022
This oven broke after I'd had it just over a year (right after warranty expired) the clock was still on so there was power but the oven wouldn't work. I paid for a GE tech to come and look at it. It was clearly burned on the inside of the top plate. It gets overheated and the wires melt and it shuts down. All the tech did was replace the burnt wire. Of course, a month later it shut down again. The same tech came out again and similarly just replace the same wire and this time put a plastic cap over the wire to prevent it from melting. About two months later it broke again. GE was going to charge me for another call out even though the tech didn't properly fix the oven the first two times he just applied a bandaid which of course won't last!

I can't really afford to replace it and certainly don't want to buy another for 2 grand just for it to break again, but I have a GE Advantium shaped hole in my cabinetry, so really I'm just screwed. This oven has to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made - really regret it. I've just been living without an oven not knowing what to do.

2.0 out of 5 stars Oven Not Worth the Money
Reviewed in the United States on March 12, 2019
After our Advantium broke, the repair person indicated that he sees broken Advantium ovens often. The problem is that in such a small inner space, and even though the fan is trying to vent the extra heat while the oven is running, you can't really cook in it for any length of time because the motherboard and other parts get too hot, then burn out. The ventilation system is simply not good enough, according to him. He said these ovens are only intended for very short cook times, such as a pan of cookies. So... we are essentially left with a very expensive microwave. We bought an entire kitchen full of GE Profile appliances, and would not buy them again. It's been one thing after another.
