The unit is nice and compact, it measures at about 7x10 inches. The best feature about this heater is that every piece that you need is attached to the inside of the storage compartment and that’s including the tarp, internal hanger along with the plug. It is super easy to put it back all together after you are finished using it. I saw a few other similar machines, the biggest difference is that the tarp is actually attached so you never have to worry about that extra step of putting it on and off. The heater is not too heavy. In my apartment bathroom it holds perfectly on the shower curtain rod and is able to reach the outlet, it just happened to be the perfect length! The one thing I do want to point out is that the tarp is not made out of the best quality. It is thin and has a very delicate zipper that I do worry could get stuck or rip, I would just be a bit more careful when zipping and unzipping the bag. Inside it does have this rod, that can fit up to 9 hangers. The rod does feel quite sturdy. As far as the hangers, I believe you can use pretty much anything. Personally I use the felt and wooden hangers and have had no issues or damages to the hangers after they were used in the heater.
Personally, for my lifestyle, I am finding this product to be super useful especially since we don’t have a washer or dryer in our Apartment. The best thing that has come out of this is being able to have my partner’s smelly shirt and shorts after jogging or cycling, not hanging on the shower curtain rod to air dry. What I did was create a diluted solution of laundry detergent in a spray bottle, so all I do now is spray the clothing and rinse it out with hot water, rig the clothes and pop it into the portable heater. Depending on the thickness and amount of the clothing that’s in the dryer, it could take between 2-3 hours but it’s so convenient, you turn it on and just go on with your day. I have also tested the quick 20-minute dry and I can honestly say, there is absolutely no need for one of those fancy towel warmers. I put in a dry towel before going into the shower and when I took out my towel it was so warm and toasty, literally felt like one of those spa towels you get after a massage.
The other thing that I want to point out, having this product is going to help extend our laundry in between washes. I have already washed / used it on underwear, socks and a few shirts. Of course it’s not going to be perfect but if I can extend my laundry by an additional week or two, that already is worth it.
Overall, a great portable heater especially for those who live in an apartment or don’t have a standard dryer or washer, I highly recommend trying it out. Please keep in mind that this is not something that will dry an entire load of laundry but it is really useful for those smaller items that need to be washed more frequently so you don’t run out of them, things like socks, undergarments, shirts and I think it will also be perfect in the summer to dry a swimsuit.
