I have read a lot of reviews about this range hood and there is nothing wrong with the quality of this machine. It's a little louder than our previous unit; when you stand near the fan, you get the feeling that it will suck everything away. The most notable comments have to do with the installation. I was planning to build a platform that I needed to be high, and I found a box that was sturdy to the height I wanted. After cutting the holes in my cabinet for ventilation and drilling the holes for installation, I used some longer carriage bolts than necessary.5/16 × 3 ") and tossed out of the cabinet and through the hole in the hood.". I need a washer and a nut on the bolt. I used a washer on a piece of tape to keep it on the bolt where I couldn't turn the nut, I grabbed the nut and turned the bolt. Once I have all the nuts and hand tighten them to what I can do, I will use a 10 inch extension ratchet and a gimbal for flexibility to tighten everything. My plan at the beginning was to replace each bolt with a shorter one, but when you put in the filter, they are obscured. It took me about an hour and a half to put this in. The fan worked great at low temperatures and blew my vent outside before it was even attached to my brick. The LED lights are very bright.
