A super easy to setup and convenient to use counter top ice maker. Does not need a water connection, works from a refillable tank. The simple reality of all small counter top ice makers is that there's a tradeoff between the amount of available refrigeration, the noise made to make that refrigeration, and ice cube size. By necessity the cubes have to be smaller to be frozen in a usable amount of time with the available freezing power. Although this unit may seem slow to make cubes off the start line from warm out of the box to finished first batch once it gets going it does a pretty good job of knocking out the pellet sized cubes. This is very much a fill it with water before bedtime, let it work over night, and have cubes the next morning to start off the day with kind of unit. With a ready for the day batch of cubes the machine can do a reasonable job of keeping up with demand. Cubes stay reasonably well frozen. But the lid is not insulated. The main downside to this unit is the small reservoir. It only holds about a third of a gallon, about one and half liters, so the unit does require refilling fairly often. All in all a nice unit for either an apartment with no ice maker in the freezer, or as an auxiliary source of ice, or for an RV. We like it. Good counter top ice making solution. Affordable. Nice.

I like how quickly it starts making ice, and the nugget ice is wonderful.

I have some concerns on how long it's going to last me though, especially for the high price. When I first got it, the pump refused to run, no matter what I did it just wouldn't pump water at all. It eventually just started working, and has been ok since, but I worry.

Just the other day, it starting making awful sounds, and the augur wouldn't spin. The top of the until became hot, I suspect an ice jam happened somehow. I wish it would have turned off before the unit heated up, it could have a more sensitive safety. After it cooled down it started working again, and doesn't seem to be making weird sounds anymore.

I just hope these aren't signs that it's not long for this world, and just a fluke. I really like the ice maker, just hope it'll last the many years my Frigidaire cube make has been going.

I gave this two stars because it makes decent ice, but I returned it the next day. It is intolerably loud. If you are even the slightest bit noise sensitive, it will drive you crazy.

Once the bin is full, it stops making ice and begins to melt so if you want consistent ice, you have to keep it running and deal with constant machine noise. No thanks.
Don't waste your money.

We've been using this steadily for a few weeks now to try it out. Love that it's got a continuous ice feature (which produces ice much quicker than our pellet ice maker) and I like that there's a space to pour in water without needing to disturb the basket.

We like this one over our other one because it is consistent sound-wise. Our other one gets steadily louder the longer we use it, but this one works well.

This nugget ice maker is super fast at cranking out little bits of ice. Like literally in minutes you have your first nuggets. It take about an hour to till the hopper then then it stops producing as the ice backs up to the dispenser. It was easy to clean this and run the cleaning cycle before first using. I have very hard water and so only use filtered water so this will last longer. But once again, it has a cleaning cycle.

What I don't like is the fact that the ice starts melting as soon as it comes out. The water drips down and so eventually recycles but I thought it would store it for use throughout the day. What I've ended up doing is transferring the ice to my freezer and only running this for an hour or so per day. This makes it kind of inconvenient in my opinion. I also don't really like the texture of the ice. The description says "soft" ice nuggets but I feel like the ice is pretty hard. It doesn't chew nicely like the ice at my local soda shop. That is the texture I was hoping for but this might as well be crushed ice from my fridge dispenser for how hard it is. Knowing that, I would not pay so much for this machine again.
