About this item

Why it is Necessary---Prevent babies from flipping the refrigerator; prevent toddlers from eating by mistake; prevent babies from pinching their fingers by playing with the refrigerator. It is also protective for pets.
Universal & Practical---Different from traditional refrigerator locks, one of the features of SAFELON refrigerator locks is that they are more widely used. Not affected by the thickness of the sealing strip and different refrigerator door frames, it is suitable for all kinds of single-door refrigerators such as mini refrigerators/outdoor refrigerators/car refrigerators.
Double Button Design---Adopting ABS material, our refrigerator lock is safe and durable. The distance between the double buttons is appropriately increased, making the operation more comfortable and opening naturally.
Easy to Operate---It is easy for adults to operate with one hand, but difficult for children to open due to the limitation of finger strength. As for unlocking, just press and hold the double button to open the refrigerator, and close the refrigerator door to lock it naturally.
Quick Installation--- VHB adhesive (the effect is better after 24 hours) is only required for installation. First install the lock head, and then install the lock body. Super strong stickiness and wide sticky surface ensure the usability and durability of the refrigerator lock. It can easily removed without any residue or damage to the refrigerator surface.

Thrilled with this product. It was easy to install and works perfectly! It's still easy to open my refrigerator doors with one hand and the door closes with a click each time. No more leaving the door open a bit without knowing and my freezer door doesn't pop open anymore if my kids slam the fridge door too hard. Very pleased!

I don't have a baby, or even small children. What I do have are two refrigerators that have the doors pop open (and slightly ajar), unnoticed. I've set the leveling feet, and cleaned the gaskets, but it still happens every once in a while. Considering it ruins large amounts of food, it was time for a better solution - the SAFELON 2-Pcs Baby Safety Fridge Lock (White).

I got two sets of the SAFELON locks, for all four doors of two refrigerators. Installation is as simple as cleaning the surfaces, peeling off backing paper from the foam tape, and sticking on the lock pieces. My only advice is this: for one of the locks, I positioned the longer, cabinet-side piece a little further back. My thought process was that this would keep a tighter seal at the door. While it does work in that way, the problem is that the lock did not always engage - while the pins would go into the door-side receiver, it would take a firmer push to get it to fully engage. There are reasons why you'd want to do it this way, but you'll need to train your household to do it properly. The "easier" installation just has you place the cabinet-side piece to be positioned where the latch is fully engaged when the gasket makes contact with the cabinet. The locks do stick out quite a bit from the fridge. If your fridge is in a deep recess, make sure that you have a couple inches to clear the lock. Actuating the release is a two finger affair, but it does not require any special finesse or strength and is suitable even for those with arthritis.

At $16 per set, these latches are effective, and a good value. Though I'm sure these latches are great for the use case of keeping small children out of the fridge, they are also great for making sure that you don't inadvertently have the fridge pop open and ruin your food. Highly Recommended

These fridge locks are not just for families with kids. I used them to secure a fridge door that wouldn’t stay closed, and they’ve been a game-changer. The locks are easy to install, hold strong, and keep my fridge tightly sealed. They’re a simple solution for a common household problem, and I highly recommend them for anyone dealing with a stubborn fridge or freezer door.

These were great for keeping our freezer door shut.
The sticky tape can pull off if what you stuck it to if you do not hold onto both pieces

As crazy as this sounds I had to buy this because my cat figured out how to open the refrigerator. It really works and was easy to install.

I needed this because my cats kept jumping on top of my mini fridge (to get to my Aerogarden)…and I kept finding the door ajar. This was easy to install and works like a champ. It’s easy to open one-handed and keeps the door closed!

We have a fridge in the garage that we keep all the kids drinks and juice boxes in. The kids have a habit of slamming the fridge door, which will often cause the freezer door above it to pop open.
The amount of popsicles, ice cream, and at one point even breast milk, that has been thrown out and wasted by the freezer door being unintentionally left open is sickening.
After trying all the tips and tricks to keep the door from popping open, I decided to try this as a last resort and IT WORKED PERFECTLY.
It's easy to operate that even my 4 can old can do it (once we taught him how).
