    It’s a beautiful unit, well made, and would be very functional. However, I needed a unit with a built in downdraft. So it won’t be used.

    Very easy to wire and install, took me an hour to run the wire, cut the countertop, and make the electric connections.
    Looks great and I already cooked pasta and steaks on this cooktop! Excellent value!

    The touch controls are not operating correct when surface gets hot.
    the temp setting indicator will rotate from off to 9 setting when trying to adjust.
    Only way to stop is to turn unit off. after only 6 months I will need to replace the complete unit.
    Empava customer service would not replaced the unit ,, they did send a new control board that I had to install. they sent the wrong board. I informed them that this was unacceptable and requested a new unit.
    they said it was not their process and will send the correct control board. I ask to talk with a manager.
    Well the management does not take calls. Anyone the buys anything from Empava is asking for junk and no service.

    Nice and pretty. This cooktop is pretty decent. The boost function works really great when broiling water, but try not to use for cooking food cuz it's hard to control the cooking time when boost is on.

    Works great cooks evenly and has an awesome timer/shutoff function. I use it in battery operated/inverter RV setup. One BIG drawback is that it draw 100w when its off and connected to power. You must unplug it to prevent this behavior (from the manufacture).

    This is my second 12” Induction cooktop. The first one cost me more than double and did not work as good as this one.
    The temperature control are great, meaning you can have the perfect temperature anytime.
