5.0 out of 5 stars Great machine
Reviewed in the United States on September 18, 2024
First and foremost, the machine needs to sit, level for 24 hours before first use. Also the first few batches of ice are kinda thin, but once it's made 5 or 6 batches they'll be normal size. Also if you use chilled water it helps tremendously.
It's easy to operate, instructions are simple and user friendly. I got tired of filling and emptying ice trays and bought this. I've only had it a day, but it did what it was supposed to do, made beautiful ice.
One other thing. Because the ice isn't made in the freezer it's going to be slightly wet to the touch. So when you put it in the freezer for later use it'll freeze together. I'd recommend putting the ice in big ziploc bags so you can break it up without making a mess or needing and ice pick.
This is a great little machine and it doesn't have a large footprint. My airfryer is twice the size of this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real workhorse for a great price

We are renovating our kitchen and we had to move our fridge. As a result we have no ice making capacity. I bought this hoping it would help for moments in a pinch, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. This thing starts making ice right away! Within 20 mins we had our first cubes, within 2 hours we had a full basket. I started filling zip loc bags to store in the freezer. We have now been living in a makeshift kitchen for 2 months and this thing has never faltered.
My only wish is that it had a larger water reservoir, so I could go longer without having to dump water in. There is an option to attach a water line, but I don't have a water line in my living room, so manual it is.
Pros: Lots of ice, compact, fast, relatively inexpensive
Cons: It can be a little loud at the beginning of the ice making process. Also, because the top is light weight plastic, it does not stay ice cold and the ice can start to melt a bit and then stick together if you don't pull it out soon after it is done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little icemaker
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2023
I have had this icemaker since September 2022. I am very happy with it and so thrilled that I no longer have to go buy bags of ice. And if I fill the ice bucket that I keep in my freezer with ice from that machine, I don’t have to make ice again for quite a while. But I decided it was probably better to keep using the ice machine on a regular basis. So every day or every other day I go ahead and run one batch of ice by filling it with water to the fill line. When it’s finished making ice out of that water, I put it on standby. And depending on how fast I use that ice I may not make ice the next day. But I probably run it every other day because you just pour the water in it and walk away. Pretty simple to use. Like I said, I think it’s probably better to run it pretty often rather than let it sit for a longer period of time. I will fill my ice bucket if I am expecting company so that I don’t run out of ice. But the great thing is if you do run out of ice, you pour water in it in and in about six minutes it makes a batch of nine cubes and in about 35 minutes it makes a basket full of ice. So you can have more ice really fast if you need it. One thing that might be a little deceiving and they don’t really address it in the description of it. You need to empty the ice basket as soon as it gets full and put it in the freezer immediately. This machine is not a freezer or even really a refrigerator. it makes the ice and dumps it into the basket, but it will melt if you don’t empty the basket and put it in your freezer. Probably works on the same idea as even the large icemakers that you see in restaurants. It’s just a bin full of ice, and if left there for too long, it will melt. so as soon as it stops making ice you need to dump that ice into a bucket in your freezer. Like I said, it’s a great little machine and I love it. My refrigerator never had an icemaker in it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for parties

This item makes I’ve very quickly. It’s nice and compact if you have limited counter space. Only four stars because the ice starts to melt in the unit too quickly. Originally saw this at a friend’s house while attending a birthday party and was very impressed. Since our fridge doesn’t have an ice maker, I thought this would be great instead of filling ice cube trays. Unfortunately it’s not something you can keep running 24 hours and forget about it due to melting. But honestly, it makes ice so quickly, you can just turn it on and off when you need some fresh ice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable and still going strong 16+ months later!
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2024
I rarely write reviews but was just talking about these with a family member and figured I'd give a little review. We bought this in March 2023 for $79 and have definitely gotten our money's worth. It is still going strong and makes consistent ice after the first couple rounds.
I find it takes about 2-3 hours to make two full containers that we keep in our freezer. I'd imagine maybe double this if you are looking to fill a small/medium cooler.
As many have pointed out (which I had read and understood prior to purchasing), this is NOT a freezer. The ice just sits in a tray. You can say the internal temperature stays "cool" from the ice, so it's not rapidly melting as if you're leaving it on the sidewalk.. but it is WET ice. What we typically do is dump the ice in the freezer.. and after a few minutes of flash freezing OR before dumping the next load, we use an ice pick to break it up so it's not just a giant block.
We use this at least once a week but sometimes multiple days during the week and always have ice on hand.
It is not completely silent, but the noise is not terribly intrusive to us. It does put off some slight heat from the exhaust fan, but again - nothing intrusive.
All in all, we are very happy - and would definitely buy again if this ever stops working. Hope this helps!

Works just as described. Makes 2 size ice. I prefer the large. You must follow the instructions. Let it sit for 24 hours prior to first use. I recommend this product.

Makes ice very fast. Ice does start to melt if left in the basket so when it’s full we just dump it into a bag and put it in the freezer. Love it!
