    The hood came in a box that is fairly well padded and secured with blocks of styrofoam and right paperboard. It survived its UPS journey without any incident. This item has a fairly straightforward install. I was tempted to say "easy" but the person installing should have some skills and knowledge to install it properly. The instructions were detailed and discussed multiple mounting and venting types supported by this hood. It even included a full size mounting and drilling template on paper as the mounting holes for screws need to be somewhat precise. Some mounting hardware and screws are included, but in my case my cabinets have a gap/pocket under them and I needed to buffer them with small pieces of wood and use different hardware. If your cabinets are flat on the bottom (no indentation) then the included hardware will probably work. There is a wall mounting option with hardware as well. The electrical hook up should be done by a professional or at least someone with sufficient experience. In my case, the short "pigtail" wire provided was not appropriate for my electrical situation. I have an outlet in the cabinet above and simply attaching the wires using exposed wire-nuts would have been unacceptable. I wanted to use a plug-in cord because of the outlet so I ran one all the way inside the fans electrical box, getting in there by following the same instructions for lamp replacement, and was able to place the wire-nuts inside that electrical box where they'd be safer and not exposed. A little confidence and experience was necessary there. Hire an electrician if you're not sure in your install. The metal look matches my stainless stove and other appliances now. It fits great and matches the upper cabinet width exactly. The light isn't overly bright but brings a good working light level to the cooking area. The fan blows plenty of air and has two speeds. I decided to not hook to my external vent just yet so I left the hood in the default configuration that blows air out the front, but the instructions are detailed and clear about how to vent upward or rear-ward depending on your home's configuration. All in all, this is not a luxury fan but it does the job well and looks fabulous considering its price range.

    This is standard ducting pipe and overall is good quality.

    It comes with a couple clamps that are also standard ducting pipe clamps.

    No tears, bends, or issues of any sort were found during my inspection of this product and my assessment is that this ducting is adequate to work in most duct work applications.

    I give this ducting pipe a good recommendation. Purchase with confidence!

    I used this duct work for our range hood to get the fumes above our kitchen. It worked just as it should have. The build quality was good as well. I would recommend using this.

    I have just received this range hood. I plan to install it in a couple of months, so this review will only cover manufacturing quality and appearance, I cannot test noise/suction until I install it.

    The hood looks angular/modernistic and it is built well. The finish is nice and smooth. Ridges and corners are uniform. All stainless steel surfaces are protected by blue film to avoid shipping and installation damage. Product is well-packaged in the box with ample amount of molded styrofoam.

    The screens are easy to remove for washing, they look sturdy and will last.

    One thing I did not like were the buttons -- they protrude from the surface about 5/8" and they are very clickety, especially the speed selection buttons -- when you push one, the other will lop out with a pretty loud click. All of the above makes the hood feel more of "industrial" than "nice kitchen" style.

    I liked that the manufacturer did not include a clock/timer -- that adds unnecessary bells and whistles no one ever uses. I also appreciate the lack of touch controls -- physical push buttons, deslite the clicking sound, are way more convenient to use than touch controls or rubber pads.

    The hood is not cheap, but it is less expensive than similar products. So far, I overall like it and I look forward to installing it.
