    I got this to add to my sort of makeshift kitchen. I have another model from different manufacturer that is very similar to this one. They're the same size and have the same layout with one differing function. This make is equal in quality, if not a little nicer. The knobs have metal accents, making it look more expensive than it is. They turn easily and sort of "click" on each heating level, making it harder to make a mistake and heat the burner more than you want. The burners heat up quickly and work better than my other model in that things like boiling water take less time. The surface does tend to hold onto things, like when I spilled egg onto the burner and it baked on so much I couldn't wipe it away. There is a small scraper that comes with the stovetop that helps with this, but cleaning is an issue. The other issue is that it takes quite a while for the burners to cool down. Unlike other models that have built in cooling fans, this does not. But those are small prices to pay for two extra burners and the stovetop works so well it's hard to complain.

    Unfortunately, my burners went out on my cooktop stove a few weeks ago and needless to say, this is the next best thing to have purchased. When I say that this set of burners are a life saver, they truly are. There's truly no difference with cooking with these and the original stove top burners that came with the stove because they work absolutely perfect. I was able to get dinner completed in half the time that it usually takes me with just 1 burner.

    The burner is so easy to set up because it drops perfectly in the place of the old ones. It heats up the almost instantly and just as long as you set it up on a flat surface. you're good to go. It's so easy to adjust the settings and even easier to clean when I'm done using it. Being it's flat, it takes up very minimal space and can be stored just about anywhere if there's ever a need to remove it and do so. This is a must have!

    I've been using a basic single electric burner since my stove stopped working. I needed a temporary workaround, and this seemed like a good alternative to the little electric burner that I have. I can use two pots at once on this, and since I can just sit it on my countertop for now, I can use it temporarily until I replace my stove. I think this would look great in an island set up as a drop in stovetop. The burners heat up fast, and I haven't had any issues using it. I love that it's flat and easy to clean.

    In the interest of full disclosure, as a trusted and unbiased Amazon reviewer, I was able to request this product free of charge.

    This is an attractive cook-top auxiliary burner set. The knobs are large and well placed. It is also suitable for in countertop mounting and the necessary hardware is provided.

    The problem is that it takes a ridiculously long time to reach operating temperature. I placed 3 quarts of water in a saucepan and using the larger burner I set the temperature to the maximum. It took 25 to 30 minutes to reach 190 degrees F. After half an hour still not boiling and only 3 quarts. During this time I could hear a relay clicking in and out - I'm sure the temperature sensor is defective.

    I also tried to boil about 2 inches of water in a very small pot. This took took an inordinate amount of time to boil although I didn't measure it.

    Basically, this cook-top is unusable.

    Should you still decide to order, wait a while if you intend to do an in counter top assembly. I would also make sure that the cutout size is a standard for these type of units. If it doesn't work or fails in a short period of time, you want to make sure you can replace it with something else.

    Grabbed this as we're doing quite a bit of travelling lately and wanted something for when we're stuck on the road. Easy enough to plug into our van as it has the built in inverter and a 120 plug in the back. Works like a champ for that. Otherwise, its just a portable electric cook top. Nothing crazy, nothing really bad about it either. Its just an average cook top. If you're looking for something solid and reliable, this will get the job done for you. If it explodes or fails within the first few months, we'll update accordingly. ????

    Just looks odd sitting on the counter. More ideal for drop in installation. Was thinking this would be used as a warming tray. Good for extended stove top but not really as a warming piece.
