This was great on vacation. With 6 adults and 7 kids, this ice maker (along with the trays in the freezer) kept up with our needs. We probably made about 75 pounds of ice over the week vacation that went into coolers and drinks.
I would love if some manufacturer made an ice maker with a tiny little freezer to actually keep the ice solid, but nobody does. As long as you dump this ice into another container or cooler, you can make a lot of ice. It does melt relatively quickly though. That is pretty normal with smaller cubes that are made this way.

I love this ice machine. I put it off for a year buying this but finally I’d had enough of ice trays taking up so much real estate in my freezer that I did it! I couldn’t be happier. It’s quiet, the only thing I hear is the ice dropping down into the basket. It suggests letting it sit upright for 24 hours to let the refrigerant settle, then cycle through 4 cycles to make sure it’s clean to use. I’ve only tried the small size because that is the default. I just put them in the freezer. Just perfect. I will update if I have any issues but I love this thing so far!!

It’s even better than I imagined. If you read people’s reviews, you will read that people say it produces wet ice, or that the machine doesn’t keep the ice cool and that it melts fast. Yes, this is true but I live in the Caribbean with a mailing address in Florida. My kitchen is hot like 85° to 88° what I’ve learned from watching this machine is that it cycles cool water through the machine, the first few of course are small, I was taking the ice out and putting it immediately in the freezer, what I’ve learned, is to keep the ice in the basket, it not only keeps it cool but the size of the ice and the quality is much better. I added a video to show after leaving it running how much ice in a little amount of time it produces.
