t got this 'Noxton Portable Electric Stove' for use as an extra burner in the kitchen when I have lots of different entrees cooking at the same time, and for use when on the road; hotel rooms, dorm room, camping, etc. It's very handy for cooking without taking up a lot of space. The controls are easy to understand and use, and it fulfills the needs for which I got it.
It may not be as powerful or fast-heating as the built-in stove in your kitchen, but keep in mind this is a portable burner; it's not meant to be the most powerful or fast-heating. The point of this unit is portability and practicality, both of which it manages quite well.
I'm happy with my portable stove and I recommend it.

This is a nice solution to replace portable gas stoves if you have electrical outlet available. This is a hot burner not magnetic burner so all types of pans or pots can be used. The plate gets hot just within marked circle plus about 1/4 inch beyond. Suggestion is to use high setting initially to get pot to temperature then lower it afterwards to maintain temperature/not over heat pot. An example is for boiling a liquid, high setting to boil the hot boil setting to hold at that temperature. The setting button also has custom buttons to go in between the main settings so can hold at any temperature.
Quality issues is a digital display which is supposed to say hot after you turn it off to warn user so they do not burn themselves but mine said “hor”. In addition on my granite countertop the plate was not level (minor rocking).
Overall I like this single burner because it can be used at dining table or in kitchen as extra burner or even when traveling (if electrical outlet is available). My car has an electrical outlet so I can imagine using it even car camping!

Being an over the road, truck, driver, and one that likes to stay away from truckstop food, I typically cook in my truck, I have an air fryer and a microwave and now being able to have a hot plate in my truck I am totally set up for making any food that I want. I’ve only used it a couple of times but it works perfectly. Does take a little while to cool down but that’s normal and I usually only use it when I’m shutting down for the evening. As far as I’m concerned, this is a trucker must have.

I set the burner to the book setting, and after 30 minutes the water still wasn't even close to boiling. It was hot but not boiling. Good point is that you can increase the burner temps 100 degrees at a time, so I'll be able to play around with what temps will work to coom with. Overall great looks and it will cook well with manual manipulation of the temps, but the presets are not well configured.

I have a small office in my backyard and sometimes I just want to cook something quick while I'm in the middle of working and it's not easy to just move myself into the kitchen to do so. I grabbed this so I could save some time and it's certainly helping me with that. The presets do seem a little off as when I tried to boil water it didn't actually boil until I manually changed the temp to a higher temp. But it seems to work great as long as you control the temperature yourself.

This is such a great thing to have for a back up in case of emergencies if your oven or stove stops working. This thing really puts out the power. Easy to start right up and start cooking right away. Definitely worth the value and great to have for all emergencies and or college or studio type apartments camping also
