I’ve had this dishwasher for a year and it works great. There’s hardly ever food leftover after a wash. I can’t speak for the other functions but I often use the quick wash, delay, and normal and they are reliable.

We have a 1950’s 800sqft home that doesn’t have enough space for a full size dish washer. However, with two small kids, we learned we couldn’t hand wash dishes and keep up. It was overwhelming.

Even though this doesn’t fit as much as a full size, it still makes a huge difference for us. I still end up hand washing larger items but that’s manageable.

It’s quiet. Not super quiet, but quiet.

It does take about 2 hours to run a full regular cycle which I feel is a bit longer than I remember when I’ve had dishwashers in the past.

We have had it about 9 months now and have yet to have any issues with it at all. Rarely do we have to rewash anything because it didn’t come clean.

Highly recommended.

I read a LOT of reviews for 18 inch, compact dishwashers. I spent hours and hours researching. I chose this one and I’m glad I did. But here’s what you need to know:

Pros: it works! It’s the best, least expensive compact machine. It has a one hour “rapid” wash which works great. A display showing how much time is left on the cycle, stays fairly clean from fingerprints, holds large dinner plates no problem and looks nice in my galley (kitchen - we live on a boat)

Cons: extremely hard to install (we did not purchase the install kit, maybe this would have been helpful?). The water is plumbed out the front of the machine (super weird) so if you don’t have some funky plumbing parts, you’ll have to jerryrig the kick plate on as it will no longer fit.
The layout for stacking dishes is a bit odd, if it runs out of drying agent (I use white vinegar) there will be a code on the screen and you won’t be able to start it until you refill.

I believe the pros out way the cons and recommend this dishwasher if you’re in the market for an 18 inch.

I bought this in October for one of my apartments which I just completed. I was missing the mounting brackets and there was a slight tear in the plastic condensation shield. I called the factory, and they answered the phone immediately. The customer service person "Brym" was really on the ball and looked up the parts and I will have them in a couple of days. This was so easy. Even without mounting the dishwasher had been tested thoroughly first and works great.

 This product is junk. Total irrefutable junk. Listen, this is the most honest review you'll see here. Take it from me - a master electrician that works full time as a maintenance engineer for a hospital. I work on plumbing systems, huge boilers, appliance repairs, and electrical repairs daily. I know my stuff.

We had a unit from EdgeStar (more like JunkStar) that we ordered in June of 2023. Well, here we are in December of 2023 with a flooded kitchen and an E4 code, like other recent one star reviews are seeing as well. No issues other than a busted drain pump. So I cleaned it all up, and managed to somehow get ahold of customer support, and they did send me a new unit.

Guess what? New unit has the EXACT same issue right out of the box. This video I've attached is the rinse cycle running on the brand new replacement unit. I just rebuilt the plumbing in the sink this weekend, for good measure. I know for a fact the drain lines are in good shape.

The E4 code triggered 15 minutes into its first cycle, and it flooded my kitchen. Again.

Seriously, this may be the worst product I've ever purchased in my life. I'm a professional in the industry, please listen to me. Do not understand any circumstances order this trash. You WILL regret it.

I waited until I had used this dishwasher for a full year in order to give a fair assessment. I will start with the positives. The dishwasher was well-packed. It arrived much faster than was originally promised, and it did not arrive damaged (unlike a previous dishwasher I ordered online). Another positive: the dishwasher looks nice in my kitchen, and I like the full stainless steel tub. I think the dishes dry better because the steel tub retains heat better than a plastic tub.

Now for the negatives. If you want clean dishes from this dishwasher, you will need to do two things: pre-rinse your dishes well and always set the cycle to “heavy soil.” If you are looking for a dishwasher that gets off dried on food and heavy food residue, look elsewhere. As for noise, it isn’t terribly loud, but it HAS gotten louder over the course of the year that I have used it, and that is concerning. The dishwasher does not feel well-built, and I do not expect to get many years of service out of it. Already, the wheels on the lower rack have worn out and won’t turn properly, making it hard to roll the rack in and out. As others have noted, the rinse aid dispenser has never worked right. It displays an empty code within a couple days of refilling it whether I put a lot in or a little. It never worked right, and I have given up n trying to use it. It just wastes expensive rinse aid. The design of the upper dish rack seems fine for fitting dishes in, but the lower rack has so many unmovable tines so close together that it is very hard to get many of my dishes to fit right. I handwash a lot of dishes that I used to put in th3 dishwasher because there is simply no way to fit them into this dishwasher. A word of advice, don’t try to put anything tall next to the door when loading the lower rack. The detergent will not dispense properly and the dishes will not get clean. Also, the dishwasher cleans better with powdered detergent. I tried a couple different gels and the dishes had a film on them (even with rinse aid) until I switched to powder.

All in all, though, you’d be better off with a dishwasher that is more solidly built and cleans more reliably.
