FINALLY got ice

Updated: FINALLY started making ice THREE HOURS after I added water and plugged it in.

Since then it’s been working great.

Unpacked yesterday evening after delivery. And left it for 24 hours as indicated in the instructions. Wiped it down tonight and added water. Plugged it in to run the four cycles of ice to “clean it. After 30 minutes had 6 pieces of ice. Turned it off and back on, 8 pieces of ice. Then nothing. Turned it off and unplugged it. Waited 15 minutes and plugged it back in. Ran clean cycle. After that finished turned it off again and unplugged it. Plugged it in after about 5 minutes and got 6 more pieces of ice. Still waiting to get more ice. More than an hour and only 20 pieces of ice.

This works amazing, I did not realize how large and heavy it is. It is twice as large and twice as tall as an average toaster, but it still delivers the ice. It is very easy to use. Also, I think for The money I spent it is well worth it

Doesn’t work right

Ice maker makes ice, sometimes. Once in a while it has only water. We have to power it off and then it’ll start producing ice again. It’s becoming frustrating. The add water light has never came on, that’s frustrating as well. I would not recommend.

I bought a different one about a year ago and my family loved it to the point where I would never get ice. So since I’m disabled and can’t walk to get ice, I bought another one for next to my chair. I love these machines.

Good ice maker for parties or events

This ice maker is great for parties, outdoor bar areas, or any situation where you need extra ice. Running out of ice can often be an issue when having a party or large gathering, and this ice maker can help you to avoid that problem. It's very easy to use. You do have to have realistic expectations however -- this can only make so much ice in a short amount of time. We find that it's best to turn it on a couple of hours before a party starts, and store the extra ice in the freezer -- so we have a full complement of ice from the beginning. Keep it running throughout the evening (while occasionally refilling the water reservoir), and you'll always have more ice when you need it. The cubes are a little on the small side, but they are a decent size for cocktails or other drinks. For some reason, I didn't notice a significant difference between the small and large ice cube setting -- if anything, the large setting created cubes that are slightly smaller.
