5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value. Induction seems to be the future!

In what seemed like a fluke, the first of this cooktop to arrive was non-functional, despite fully wiring and checking voltage to both legs and continuity of ground. Long story short, the seller and Amazon were very responsive, and a functioning replacement was sent immediately.

We have since enjoyed the continuous glass of this cooktop with touch controls. Our previous cooktop was a radiant glass cooktop with dials that got in the way of cleaning. It is also worth mentioning that the replacement for our exact model of cooktop would have been $1800 (which did have downdraft fan), while this one was under $300. It was well worth the risk to try induction for this price.

As far as function, I've been generally happy with how quickly the pans heat up compared to the radiant cooktop. We use mostly cast iron, but also an enameled steel tea kettle. The weight of the cast iron takes a little longer to heat and cool than the thinner steel, but it's impressive how the pan immediately warms, much like a gas cooktop. I have noticed that the largest center "burner" doesn't seem to heat the entire pan evenly, as a rolling boil tends to be toward the edge of the large enameled cast iron pot we have. This may be a cast iron thing, as it doesn't conduct heat as well as a layered copper or steel would.
We also chose to buy one of the available silicone mats that help protect the glass from scratches, and since it's induction, silicon or not the cooktop is much easier to clean. Nothing burns onto the surface.
The timer feature is great, and it's possible to set a pan to cook for a predetermined time before shutting down. The locking feature is also handy, and avoids accidental button presses while cleaning. Further, the cooktop detects whether a pan is present and won't attempt to "heat nothing", even if a button is accidentally pressed. I'm particularly happy about the safety features, as our son badly burned his forearms as a child on our previous radiant cooktop (hot burner), but on this cooktop it likely would not have been an emergency room visit. Surface temperatures are much lower than radiant after cooking, and it cools faster, since the source of the heat is the pan itself and not the radiant element below the glass.

Installation was easy once the countertop was made ready. In fact, after installing the first cooktop that had to be returned, the replacement took only about 10 minutes to drop in and wire up with the factory electrical whip. Perhaps the best part of this particular cooktop as a replacement to existing electric cooktops is the 10ga wire and 30a circuit required. This was equal to our existing electrical, so it didn't require expensive upgrades.

We have noticed that power level 4 seems to be slightly harder to "find" on the slider, but it's a minor complaint. There is also a noticeable fan noise not present in gas or radiant cooktops. I would say it's quieter than most microwaves and similar to the fan on our oven--not a big deal to us, but worth mentioning. It can also cause some minor buzzing, considered normal by the manufacturer. None of the sounds are obtrusive in my opinion, and they would be hardly noticeable over a conversation or a sizzling skillet.

As long as it lasts a long time as expected, this is still a five-star product.

Pros: Low cost, continuous glass surface, quick heating and temperature adjustment, lower surface temperatures after cooking, extra safety features compared to radiant/gas.
Cons: Potentially uneven heating, limited to induction ready cookware (obviously), minor noises.

This thing is awesome. My first time using induction cooking. It seems powerful. Renovated the kitchen in my trailer replacing an old propane range. Added a new countertop and Empava wall oven below this cooktop. It is more powerful than my old small propane range. It is easy to clean, Heats induction cookware fast (Green Pan Valencia Pro) and puts less heat into the trailer. Overall this is a big upgrade been using it for about a month so far

4.0 out of 5 stars quality checks from factory

Ordered this because liked the 3 burner layout the most. Was skeptical of unit because of the low price since most induction cooktops are close to $1000 for bosh,lg and other brand names . Received unit and no damage from shipping. Hooked up wiring correctly to 220 v. Tried unit before installing in countertop cut out. Both left side burners did not work, could not even get the lights to light up on control panel. However the large right side burner worked perfectly with no issues. Lights worked on control panel and it would notify you if pan was not correct size or not centered on burner. Disappointed for sure, at least amazon worked flawessly and issued a return and money back no problems! Buyer beware is the thoughts on this. Company that builds these should maybe have more quality checks on units before they ship out.

Update, the company or distributor of this product reached out to me and offered to send out another unit and I agreed since I did like the layout of this cooktop. Received new cooktop in 3 days and this unit does work fine. I have only hooked up unit to check for operation at this time and have not installed unit in countertop yet due to time constraints. Will do a more Indepth review after I have cooked and used unit for a while. This will be my first experience with a induction type cooktop.

Shopping for an induction cooktop is difficult. You’re left with the choice of spending $1,000+ for one of the name brands or risk buying something less reputable. This unit is worth the price so far, and has been a great intro to induction cooking. I probably would not have purchased without Amazons return policy

Came packed really well with no damage. The glass is really clean looking and the whole unit feels very well built. Cut the hole in the counter using the included hole guide which was very helpful. Wired it up in minutes. The wire pigtail is very long, perhaps a bit too long, but it’s easy enough to tuck it away or cut it if you’re so inclined.

Cooking with it is totally different than anything I’ve ever used. The unit does turn on and off on lower powers as mentioned in other reviews. This is most noticeable when boiling but the temperature seems to stay stable. It will take some adjusting if you’re not used to it!

Overall I’m pretty satisfied with the unit. The only reason I docked a star is because of the on and off cycle vs turning the power down. I understand this is common in lower end induction cooktops and I hope to see this improve in future models.

Update 5-23-24: Shortly after our original install we began having overheating issues with the large main burner. I couldnt even cool some burger patties without the burner overheating and not turning back on until it cooled down. I started messaging the seller to diagnose the issue and they sent me a brand new replacement unit in no time!

Unit again arrived perfectly, no damage not even a scratch on the glass. Cooked a whole pack of bacon without overheating once that night. Now that I feel more confident in this unit we’ve been cooking all sorts of things on it! I can not recommend this brand enough for standing by their product.

Attached is a quick video of the new unit. Volume up if you want to hear the noise it makes, it’s really not as bothersome as some reviews make it out to be.
