This Forimo replaces my worn out Suburban and it is far superior in every way to that cooktop. It is easy to light and the controls are very responsive and easy to manipulate. It is easy to clean.
It was easy to install, though I have read comments on how difficult that part is. It came with a hole cut-out template that was the wrong size but it was easy enough to figure out what size hole was needed. There are no instructions on how to hook it up to the gas line. Apparently Forimo has the funny idea that you should hire that done. It comes with a kind of a foreign looking fitting I have never seen before and that was confusing. But I quickly learned that it can be switched out for a standard fitting with no trouble because once the weird fitting is removed you are looking at the male end of a standard 1/2” pipe thread. I replaced the weird fitting with a 1/2” “L” to 3/8” flare and then used a standard flexible 3/8” LPG connector hose. It doesn’t come with a regulator so I installed a standard 11” propane one.
Works great and you can’t beat the price!
