    I bought this machine Open Box, it came packaged with styrofoam in a generic brown box with Styrofoam. It looked undamaged to me. So no foul. The sticker on the top of the machine said to leave it upright for several hours before plugging it in to allow for refrigerant to settle. Since I didnt need it right away, I stored it in my pantry for a few days. When I took it out a few days later and plugged it in, immediately the fans started whirring pushing out air, so I filled it with water to the fill line and walked away. Yet here we are hours late and not a single ice cube has been made. I think I was sent a faulty machine....

    Update (9/22/24) - The company saw my review and got back with me offering to send me a replacement and to make things right. It took a week, but I got the new unit and it works great.
    The ice is perfectly chewy, and due to the cubes being so small, the increased surface area cools drinks incredibly fast. I've been using it for the last 4 days non-stop to ensure there arent any issues. And I have to say, this was a fantastic purchase. I think my original unit mustve gotten damaged in transit somehow, but the company was friendly, hassle-free, and worked quickly to fix the issue and send me a new unit. Thus, I'm ammending my original poor rating to reflect the excellent customer support and my happiness with the replacement unit. I'd definitely recommend this product to friends and family!

    Pros: Attractive design, dispenses lots of ice is relative short time (about 2 1/2 hours for two cycles), easy to drain water
    Cons: Requires a dedicated plug so you have to unplug another appliance (for me it's a microwave); takes up a fair amount of space as you are supposed to allow 6 " around when in use; ice should be placed in freezer in zip lock bag as it melts too fast kept in the machine; since ice is not completely frozen when put in freezer, it necessitates breaking up the ice in the bag with a mallet or something after it has had a chance to freeze completely.
    Conclusion: This icemaker is great, and the minor inconveniences are not a problem for me, especially as my Samsung icemaker has broken three times and I am not paying another expensive repair bill.

    I purchased this nugget ice maker for home and family gatherings. Both my husband and I love cold water and typically will "tap out" the refrigerator ice maker to fill up our 64oz mugs with water and ice. While I love nugget ice, I purchased this thinking that it would make a large batch of ice at once. It is rather small, fits well for limited space situation, could be used in an apartment for sure. I fill the reservoir with a few bottles of water and it makes ice quickly, which is a plus! Overnight, I've filled a large gallon zip lock bag full of nugget ice. Overall, very easy to use, ice nuggets are perfect for ice eaters like myself, unit is small and compact, but I will be purchasing a larger ice maker to replace this one and this one will be placed in our bar area.

    Its been only 5 months and this thing will not stay clean. The ice has huge black and grey chunks of ick that attach to it. We clean it almost daily and finally just unplugged it. We used cleaning solution, have taken the top off to clean all insides, filtered water, etc. NOTHING WORKS. Do not waste your money. Super disappointed.

    Original review: This is not our first countertop ice maker - compared to others it definitely is faster and the quality of the ice is great. Downfall is it’s probably the loudest one we’ve ever had - you can hear the fan running over a tv in the room next over so if noises bother you, pick a different one!

    and produces quite a bit of ice but once my wife fills up her Tumblr, the ice is gone. Gotta wait so just a heads up if your wife has a Tumblr, you can forget it, but works perfect for mixed drinks.

    Got this end of September 2023, received it in October 2023. It has been making some God awful noise and won’t make ice. So we followed the self help resource on the website for trouble shooting, and it’s making even worse noise!
    Addendum:
    So I reached out to the vendor on 9/19/2024 through Amazon. The vendor wrote me back promptly, and asked me to write the manager, a woman named “Nina” at [email protected]. I didn’t think that was safe, since the link had some
    Chinese characters which I didn’t understand. So I reached out to Amazon again and reported that. And I’ve heard nothing since. I hope the vendor is still going to honor their 18 months warranty.

    I really like the type of ice it makes. That’s it. This machine doesn’t preserve the ice so it just sits there and melts. When the ice melts the machine turns the melted water into ice again causing the machine to run all the time. If you fill the tank to the maximum level, the ice sits in water and when you empty the catch basket it drips water everywhere. The ice is so wet that when it is put in the freezer it sticks together and requires an ice pick to break it up. It is loud and the constant running drives me crazy. Not worth the money and definitely not energy efficient.
