It is a decent vent with upscale looking. Give the kitchen a modern look. Easy to install and good for the price. My favorite feature is the remote control which released hands. Powerful, solid and does what it's supposed to do. Overall satisfactory I gave it five stars !

Several design issues

I had a bad experience with this "Amzchef" range hood. Stay away from this one, no matter how much discount they give.
1. Only one blow fan and it is located on one side (right side) of the hood. So this company designed and manufactured range hoods that never-evenly distribute suction power for your stovetop area. Also, they do not reveal that on their web list, you only see it after opening the box.
2. The vent out-port is not centered on top of the hood, it is 1 inch to the left. You only find that after you try to install it to the existing cabinet hole (which is always centered).
3. There is a half-moon flip (or damper) on the vent out port which is problematic. It does not allow proper airflow outside and makes a lot of noise. It is not only useless but also makes things worse. Mine installed "Amzchef" range hood was blowing wind downward to the stovetop instead of to the outside.
I returned the junk.

Powerful kitchen exhaust

This replaced a built-in microwave/exhaust fan unit in my townhouse that pushed the exhausted air back into the kitchen and house. Why it was installed this way made no sense to me, as the walls behind all the kitchens in my townhome development are also exterior walls. Seriously, how much did the developer save by doing this? Not much, that's for sure. That was just pure laziness and corner-cutting over less than $100 p/unit, back when they were built. Well, that developer went out of business, due to shoddy workmanship and all the lawsuits they were slammed with over poor craftsmanship inside and outside of all the units. Stupidest idea ever to design exhaust fans that don't actually exhaust to the outside. I also don't like having something that sits so low over the stove top.

Anyway...this kitchen exhaust unit arrived very quickly, in perfect condition. It is perfectly suited to my needs. It can get pretty loud, when it's on high, but I've never needed to use the high setting yet. The low setting works fine most of the time. If I want to exhaust the kitchen air faster, I just put it on the second setting. My kitchen isn't huge, and is mostly a room unto itself, closed off to most of the first floor, tho no door has been installed between it and the rest of the house. There's also a large window I can open, if needed, but as the window is over the sink, and I'm only 5'1.5" tall, I need a step stool to reach the window.

My only complaint is: I don't much like the cold, daylight colored LED lights, but I knew about them when I ordered it, so that wasn't a deal breaker. I wish there was a color choice, but apparently, that's not an option.

The unit has really good reviews and is more powerful than the unit it replaced, which is why I bought it. This unit clears out the food smells quickly, and any steam, heat or smoke too.
It is easy to clean.
I don't really use the remote much, but when I have, it worked fine. I just hope I don't lose it. I'll glue a magnet to it so it can be stuck on the refrigerator or the unit itself.

As for ease of installation...well, I didn't do it myself, so can't really rate that. It was installed when the kitchen was remodeled in 2023.

Would I buy it again? Yes, but hopefully won't have to.

Great suction power

The installation is very simple, it comes with screws, you only need to fix the four screws on the top and the two screws on the back, and it can be firmly fixed on the cabinet or wall. The two LED lights on the top are very bright, making cooking and simple viewing more clear. There are three wind speed settings, the suction power is very strong, and no harmful odors or odors will remain in the kitchen. The control panel of the range hood has touch buttons for easy operation and cleaning. There is also a remote control that can be used without touching the range hood at all.
