We recently replaced all our appliances w/ Bosch. Sadly this oven is poor, and if I had it to do over, I'd go with another brand like Kitchenaid.
Pros: Looks great and cooks well. Controls are pretty intuitive and easy to use. Has some nice features.
Cons: Lousy quality & customer service. And the cooling fan is noisy and blows warm air into the kitchen.
Details: When either oven heats up, a fan turns on, blowing warm air from under the touchpad. This is a bit annoying, since it's at chin to face-level for many folks. The fan is also rather noisy. These are somewhat minor issues, but I'd expect a $3000 appliance to not have annoying design shortcomings. Plus, it's not great to have an appliance blow warm air into my Florida AC-cooled kitchen.
In addition, the oven had serious design/quality problems from the start. Whether on or off, it would randomly beep and flash 'convection bake' on the display. Then if the oven was on, it would turn itself off. This was totally random - sometimes every few minutes, sometimes up to 2-3 days. The Bosch factory service guy called Bosch, who told him this was a 'known problem' and they expected to have a fix in ~2 weeks. 3 weeks later, they had 'identified the problem with the touchpad, and expected to have a replacement part soon'. 3 more weeks, the guy installed the new touchpad. No change - problem just the same. The next day, he confirmed w/ Bosch that they'd sent the same old touchpad, and expected to have a replacement part in another 1-2 weeks. 3 more weeks... no new part available.
Finally, after nearly 3 months, 4 repair visits & 20+ calls to my local dealer, Bosch customer service, and their repair guy... Bosch agreed to replace the still non-working oven. The new one is in and working ok so far for about a month.
Overall, I'd avoid Bosch's ovens & microwaves. (We also replaced a built in microwave at the same time. It was DOA and was replaced promptly. It also has a similar noisy fan design issue.)
