⚠️UPDATED 02/2024 ????⚠️????????????????
While visiting my grandparents, the ice maker needed water but I wasn't sure how much was already in the machine. The ice maker is ontop of their 45" coffee bar cabinet (I'm 5'1). I got a step stool and opened the cover to check the water level.
I was stunned by what I saw! Before you go judge or assume that she is dirty etc, as stated in my orginal review below about cleaning the machine, that this can happen quickly. My 86 y/o grandmother is ODC clean & keeps an immaculate home! When I visit, I will clean the machine if I remember, otherwise she will do it.. The last time she thoroughly cleaned the machine was almost 3-weeks ago. Goes to show how quickly debris (and lawrd knows whatelse inside) can accumulate. My cleaning tips are at the bottom of my original review.
I have added additional photos to show you how the machine can quickly collect dust, debris etc just from sitting with a closed lid.
My grandmother has the ice maker on a raised stand on her countertop - when filling the machine with water, this went unseen. My grandmother was mortified when she saw this.
She actually started to cry in fear her or my grandfather would get sick. She almost had me remove the ice maker.
This is why I STRESSED about frequent cleanings in my original review.

Original Unedited Review:
I purchased this for my 85 year old grandparents. Their new refrigerator has a botton freezer (which they wanted) but limited freezer space so they took out the ice maker to make room. Every time we had family gatherings, there was no ice not even a tray.
When I mentioned buying this to my grandmother - she didn't want to hear it. She said there would be no room for it on her counters (she has plenty of room). I think they were more concerned they wouldn't know how to operate it without help or how it would 'look' if company came lol. It blends in nicely with her other black & stainless appliances. If anything, her friends/company raves about the maker.
I had the ice maker shipped to my grandparents house — and when they received it, they couldn't get over how well packaged it was — it also has a blue film covering protecting the entire stainless machine. ❄️????❄️????❄️????❄️???? and couldn't get over how compact the ice maker is, how quick it produces ice, and how easy it is to operate.
They have actually used this several times when having outdoor gatherings. We plug it into the outside outlet or portable generator & wah lah! It was in the mid 90s with 100% humidity & the lid kept the ice intact - no issues with melting.
The ice cubes are large nuggets which is nice.. Depending on your tap water minerals, I recommend using filtered water to reduce build-up.
*The machine is very easy to clean AND SO IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ). When I visited, I noticed the machine had a 'water smell' and knew it just needed a cleaning.
I do recommend cleaning & sanitizing the machine every 4-6 weeks and clean the basket frequently. If you don't want to spend the money on ice machine cleaner - then white vinegar works just as good if not better. I put distilled vinegar in a spray bottle (1:1 ratio) and spray the inside really good. I would use a lint free microfiber cloth or an old t-shirt to wipe (DON'T USE HARSH CHEMICALS) - you can also mix water & Dawn together and use it as a spray. You'll want to grab a toothbrush for hard to reach spots. Vinegar is a safe - natural disinfectant & descaler. Anything that gets left uncleaned has the chance to build up grime for another 2 months. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP - YOU WILL GET SICK!! ????????????
*MAKE SURE you pour/fill the ice maker with the vinegar solution (vinegar/water), just like how you make ice! Making this ice fills the spaces most likely to have buildup, like the ice maker's teeth, with your solution. Make sure you give the machine a good thorough rinse because you don't want your ice to taste like vinegar. This may seem like a pain or a lot to do but it's actually not. So quick but so IMPORTANT. You DON'T want to take chances on getting sick or someone else because ALL ice makers create mold, slime, e-coli, pests, dust, and dirt—debris of all kinds can affect the quality of your ice. Look out for green or black patches on your ice, because that’s a sure sign that it’s in need of a clean. But other dangers can be harder to spot.
I hope you found my review helpful! I know it's a little long but I rather share helpful information & not have someone get sick.

Works fast, consistent, easy
Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2024
We purchased this in March to take to friends living on a sailboat. We tested it at home first and it worked great. There were 8 adults on tbe boat for 7 days. We used the ice from this little producer for all of our drinks. We even had extra ice which we froze in the freezer. Update 3 weeks later and the icemaker is still going strong. I knew nothing about this brand when ordered but based on the reveiws I took a chance. It's compact and easty to set up and start. We had it on a counter next to other appliances and never had any issues. One comment which might be of interest to some is that the ice is a slightly "wet" ice. When put in a freezer the cubes do freeze together but break appart easily enough. This was not a negative for us. Two other couples have since purchased this same icemaker after experiencing it on the sailboat.

Finally I have ice.

It works great. Makes small ice cubes quick and does make slight noise. It does take up counter space but it is too heavy to move.

Overall good ice maker
Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2024
I bought this particular brand based on reputation of brand. It's not bad noisey but noisier than I thought it would be. The ice gets stuck at the top after it makes and you have to move it down so that it will make more, otherwise it thinks it's full. That's aggravating. This product is very simple to set up to use. In fact, I didn't even open the manual. It was that easy. The ice is soft and good, but does melt fast in a drink Overall I recommend this product.

Sleek, Space-Saving Ice Machine!
Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2024
I am absolutely thrilled with my new ice machine! Its sleek design fits perfectly in my home without taking up too much space. I love how it blends seamlessly with my kitchen decor, adding a touch of modern elegance.
One of the best features is how quiet it is! I barely notice it running, even when it's refilling. Speaking of refilling, this machine works like a charm—it's lightning-fast, ensuring I always have a steady supply of ice on hand for any occasion.
If you're in the market for an ice machine that combines style, functionality, and efficiency, look no further! This ice machine exceeds expectations and has become an indispensable addition to my home. Highly recommended!

Inexpensive Fix For Samsung Refridgerators with Icemakers
Reviewed in the United States on April 13, 2024
It makes a small footprint but cranks out a lot of ice in a short period of time. Rather than spend $300 on another actuator assembly for my Samsung refrigerator (the replacement lasted only 1 1/2 years), this is a much less expensive and more reliable fix. I am very happy with it.

Works Great I love It

I had to buy a stand along ice maker as my, only, 5 year old LG fridge gets the ice stuck in the tray and the water runs right over the ice so I end up with a big chunk of ice.
So after getting tied of trying to pound ice out of the container and the tray I bought this.
No it is not the quietest but then again I am not running 24/7 I run it a couple of hours at night to fill the ice bin. I counted the amount it made, in 30 minutes it made 4 batches of ice, wow. After about 4 hours my ice bin is full.
Word to the wise, at each start up with ice is very small, barely and ice cube and most fall back through the plastic bin inside the maker. But after about 3 times of ice the cubes get bigger. So don't be afraid if you get a really small batch of ice at first it does get bigger.
So far this is well worth it, I don't have to take a mallet to my ice anymore. I read how to clean it, it's a breeze, you just unplug the unit, pop the stopper that holds the water in it, let it drain, wipe the inside and the vent that pulls the water in to make the ice. This is at the bottom inside the unit where you pour the ice. Easy Peezy.

Awesome little ice maker!
Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2024
Pros - inexpensive for a countertop ice maker, makes crunch able ice "bullets", fast! I can fill a gallon freezer bag in a couple of hours, easy to operate, holds enough water to fill a couple of gallon freezer bags, pretty quiet!
Cons - I have no cons for this ice maker.
Great little ice maker. Makes as much ice as a $500 countertop ice maker a friend has. For less than $100 it is worth every penny!
I do recommend using distilled water. Tap water is a bad option for me as we have hard water.
