5.0 out of 5 stars Makes ice fast…

We bought this when our Freezer’s ice maker broke. It makes ice very quickly but the ice is a bit on the thin side so it melts faster than tray ice. It is easy to clean and makes two different size ice cubes. The motor and ice drop/tray are a little loud but for the price and convenience- it was a good purchase! I would definitely recommend

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Well, Doesn't Last Forever

This is the second counter top ice maker that I've purchased, and I've found that they work well, producing a good amount of ice for an individual user at a reasonable price. However, the machines tend to break down after approximately a year. I bought this model in January 2023, and it stopped working as of late February of 2024.

As long as you understand that the ice maker is probably going to die after a year, this inexpensive ice maker is a pretty good purchase, particularly when compared to models that are almost identical in construction that are priced higher.

So happy this works so well and so fast. Our ice maker in fridge is weird, works then it doesnt when we have company. I have told family to buy one.

5.0 out of 5 stars very impressed with this ice machine

I loved it. I put three 16-oz bottles of water in it. It made ice in 10 minutes. At night, I shut it off, leaving the ice cubes (small bullets) in it. They melted some, but I still had some for the morning. I turned it back on, and with three of us using it over the three-day weekend at the horse show, I never had to fill it with water. We had plenty of ice, and even the judges used the ice for their drinks, so there were really 5 people over the 3 days.
It has 2 fans running and is quiet the only noise was when it dumped the ice the first time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Until it wasn't

So I purchased this machine last year to make ice for everyday drinks. When I first started using it, I thought it worked well enough. The ice melted quickly but I assumed it had more to do with ambient temperature of the room and room temperature liquids. I had no faults with it other than the fact that it was a bit loud and put off more heat than I anticipated.

A couple days ago I had to retire the machine because it stopped working. I started noticing a few weeks ago that the machine was getting a dark colored buildup in the water reservoir and ice compartment that I assumed was from the calcium and minerals in my water. I switched from filtered water to distilled water and ran a descaler solution through it. I figured I bought myself a month of use before I had to descale it again. But less than a week later this darker buildup came back. I knew it wasn't the water this time. I deep cleaned the machine once again I'm hopes that the buildup would go away.

This went on for another couple of weeks before I took a closer look and realized that at some point, in less than a year, one of the components had cracked. I have no idea how this crack happened. You'll see in the photos how it's a hard to reach spot. Most of the time when the machine is on, this area isn't even visible. I think the dark brown buildup was actually some type of lubricant leaking into the machine. I'm disgusted now thinking about how I was drinking that with my ice.

Right around the time I realized it was broken, I noticed the gears having a hard time trying to lift the gate that would clear the ice. Eventually, it wouldn't move anymore and all you could hear was the clicking of the gears. I also noticed after I removed the ice maker from my table that there was a black, soot like substance underneath the machine and next to where the fan was. Maybe the dark buildup in the water reservoir was smoke? Maybe I dodged a bullet?

I tried to get in touch with the company to ask about a warranty (there's supposed to be a 12 month warranty with an option to extend it) but their website has NO PHONE NUMBER and the emails I've sent have gone unanswered.

I bought a new ice maker from a different manufacturer and realized that the ice my Aglucky machine was making was subpar. Compared to my new machine the ice was thin, small (even on the large setting), and melted quickly. I'm certain there was some mechanical error the entire time I had that old machine.

If you don't care about longevity of your ice maker then perhaps this is a good option for you. I actually can't afford to throw away money and I care about quality, especially when I'm paying 20%-30% more than similar machines on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the one it replaced
Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2024
Having an ice machine on the counter trees up space in the fridge. I had used another brand for several years, but it died on me. I replaced with this brand and it is better. Both units had the self cleaning option, which I haven't used one this one. This ice maker holds more water and keeps the ice food longer and the ice seems to be a bit larger than my old one, plus I was able to buy it in the red I wanted.
