I wasn’t expecting much for $70. However, ended up being nicely surprised. Installation was simple if not easy. It was lightweight and aligned perfectly to the old vent. Also, this does come with a large paper hole guide for drilling. 0 guesswork.

But even though it’s has a LED light that doesn’t seem to be simple to replace (keep the instructions!), it is perfectly bright. Not blinding white LED bright, but also it’s not so dim you can’t read the instructions of a brownie mix at midnight with no other lights in the room.

Also, this actually prevents my smoke alarm from having a panic every time I attempt to cast iron steaks on my stove stop! The fan actually sucks but in a good way.

You definitely get what you pay for with this one. Ducted and ductless options.

PS for the ducted like mine, that random metal sheet piece slides in the front grill, but the slot for it is between the sheet metal and white exterior underneath it.

Needed something to replace my Over the range microwave as it had broken. Did not want to spend the money on another as I was never impressed with its ventilation fan + don't use the microwave much. I needed something that would mount under the cabinet and also would recirculate inside. There isn't any piping installed for outside venting (yet). Chose this Firegas hood model because it checks all the boxes. It filters the smoke and cooking fumes from cooking very well especially since I have it setup for inside recirculation. The LED lights are much brighter than I expected which I love. It comes with different ventilation attachments for various installation types. The activated carbon filter included is a nice bonus. Comes pre-wired for a 110 outlet. 300cfm is enough for my needs. The stainless looks sharp however be mindful to clean fingerprints and grease often. The fan is on the noisier side. Especially on speed 3/the highest mode but you'll never really need it as the suction is more than sufficient for ventilation on speeds 1 and 2. The only complaints I have are that the included instruction manual are a bit vague and the protective film tape was hard to peel off. Take your time and peel it off slowly and you'll be fine. It's been roughly over a month and so far, so good!

Love this. Looks great over our new black stove. Wish the light was aimed back a little more to cover more of the range top. Fan is quite. Would recommend.
