I live in an apartment building that has washing machines and dryers that cost $1.50 per wash + another $1.50 for drying(!) But now that I have this portable washing machine, I can wash most of my clothes for free! So I'll be saving a lot of money. Same goes for people who use laundromats.
The machine does a good job cleaning clothes, does not make much noise, and is easy to use. I just put one or two garments, add some detergent, and add water up to the max line, and start the wash. I put it on my bathroom sink because it needs to be close to the outlet (it does not have a large footprint). It takes only 10 minutes (or there's a 15-minute setting too), and when it's done, I unplug the machine and bring it to the bathtub, and release the stopper to allow all the water to drain. Then I bring it back to the sink and refill it with water only (no detergent) and run it for the short 2-minute cycle. I do this in order to wash out any leftover soapy water from the clothes. I then drain the water again, wring out the clothes slightly, and hang them to dry.
I love how practical the machine is. I often have to wash only one or two pieces of clothing at a time, rather than a large load. I can now do just that, and not have to wait until I accumulate a whole load. This is perfect for things like dress shirts which need to be washed frequently - i.e. after every time or every couple of times they're worn. Same goes for underwear and socks, of course.
A couple of points to keep in mind: it's not meant for large loads of laundry. A regular full-size washing machine is better for those. Second, it's a washer only, not a dryer. So be prepared to either hang clothes to dry or to use a dryer if you have one. Third, it should not be used for bulky items such as large towels, coats, and blankets (these might not even fit into the machine).
Note: there's no installation required. It does not connect to a water source. You simply fill it with water directly from a faucet or use a bucket or other container.
