I think it's only meant and intended as an inset counter top range. Nothing more.
I ordered it as a backup single burner for those days when the power is out and you're backfeeding your generator into the 240v stove hookup. So it'll work in a pinch, but this isn't portable and it isn't something you'd want sitting on top of your countertop.
With that said, looking at the rest of it, it's a huge unit for a single small burner. I'd reckon most people would be upset if something taking up this much space provided a single small burner that isn't any faster than my 30 year old coil burner stove.
So if it's not appealing as a countertop item and is lacking as an inset item, where does it fit? It's an ok burner.
