I ordered this 5 burner cooktop for a customer's replacement because their automatic igniter was malfunctioning on their old 4 burner. It was over 20 years old and just was worn out.

I was amazed of the performance of the new cooktop, and the price couldn't be better.

Only one note, the new cooktop did not come with a regulator and I had read mixed reviews regarding whether a regulator was required. I didn't want to take a chance that there would be flame-ups because of the variance in gas supply, so I installed the old regulator in-line from the old cook top and got lucky that it must have been compatible with the new cook top. It functioned just fine.

I did not reduce my rating because it was my ignorance just assuming that a regulator would come with it because I have installed many cooktops over the years and this was the first time a regulator was not included.

Feel free to respond to this review if you had purchased this item and did not use a regulator in-line. I am curious to hear the results.

Appearance and function works great. The only issue I have is the Pan grate. There is not enough fingers sticking out around the flame. A pot of anything is very unstable on top and is going to hurt someone. Need to redesign. I have had several instances where the pan has Slipped off the burner and spilt Is contents of the pan. Someone is really gonna get hurt. I am going to remake the Burner, grate myself. We'd never buy again. Since I posted this, I have had no response from anyone.

This stove is very nice and was not to hard to set up. It took us a little bit to change out the gas lines but all was good. The stove fit great. The glass top is so hard to keep clean. I thought it would be a little easier - boy was I wrong! I’m doing a full clean everyday to make it shiny. I was able to find some covers that should be here soon, I’m hoping they will help. While it works great and I love the middle larger burner I do think I would’ve went with a stainless steel rather than a glass top. It’s a great stove for the price if you are okay with cleaning it every day or don’t plan to use much. Nothing is wrong with the actual function of the stove. Works great. Arrived in perfect condition. Looks amazing. My only complaint is how hard it is to keep clean with so many cooks in the house.

Regulator not screwed in

The stove was a little small for the existing cut out, but seemed a great value. The installer was concerned about plastic parts under the stove near the gas regulator. I’ve used it for a few weeks and my wife noticed a hotspot. When we looked underneath a small gas leak had ignited and melted some of the plastic
After it cool down, we plug the gas line and using pipe, thread, sealant, reinstalled, the regulator, and the gas line. No leaks now but will check it several times.

Manufacture should seal that regulator connector and make sure it’s plenty tight. And why put plastic under a cooktop. I should have known. When is the name is deli kit and apparently your stove is delicate
