Excellent Electric Cooktop, Placed in Our Outdoor Kitchen

We have one of these in gas, well propane and one in electric for our outdoor kitchen. Both work very well. This is an excellent cooktop in addition to our stovetop indoors. We use it often when we need extra cooking space. We often run out of area for cooking when we have large family gatherings or even when we're cooking for some type of catering event, which we seem to volunteer for often. I guess when you are known for excellent cooking, this tends to happen. We always need additional cooking space so this is perfect. We're still building the cabinet for this to set inside of permanently, but it operates perfectly in its temp home. Heats up quickly. Brings water to a boil very fast. All the excellent cooktop things you want. I don't understand these safety features or locking features, but as far as cooking, this is excellent.

It certainly adds a stovetop to 120 volts
off-grid house. I was unable to figure how to get a 1000 watt burner. There were no preset functions to choose from that would accomplish this. Instead, the maximum I could get was 800 watts.
It does however look fantastic . It would certainly add a lot of class to your kitchen.

I always wanted to serve up hotpot where you've got a couple skillets hot right there on the table for guests to place raw pieces of meat and cook them up in front of them. This double burner works great. I could have probably gotten away with the single burner option, but this unit is large enough for big parties. Plug is long enough to reach from the center of the table. Also works for cooking on our outside table when I don't want to stink up the kitchen. Perfect for small apartments too!

This actually turned up to be a fine addition for my kitchen! I didn't know what to expect for only $130, the price seemed to be too cheap for a quality appliance, but once it had arrived, and I pulled it out of the box and started using it, I was pleasantly surprised! Seriously, only $130 for an all-glass heavy-duty cooktop with touch controls and tons of features found in high-end cooktops only. You can use it just like a table-top cooktop because it comes with four rubber feet that you can attach to the bottom. You don't need to cut your countertop for recessed installation like it's shown in the listing, but surely it would look awesome if installed that way. It heats up not as fast as I would like it, it takes probably a minute or two to reach the desired temperature of the heating elements. Once any of the two burners heat up and until they cool down, there is a red LED light and a warning “HOT” displayed that warns you that they are still hot, and you should not touch them. You can select a specific temperature for each burner, or you can use one of eight quick presets. Whichever setting you select it will show the target temperature on an LED display for each burner and selected preset with a LED light. There is also a timer, and controls lock features. You can also use it as a dish warmer if you set the temperature to very low, but there is no special setting like “keep warm” unfortunately. There are two integrated cooling fans at the bottom of the cooktop that help distribute excessive heat when it's in use. It's an excellent feature, but the problem is that the fans are very loud. Really loud and annoying, which makes prolonged use of the cooktop not quite convenient, be aware of this issue. Cleaning this cooktop is amazingly simple and quick because it has no buttons, no knobs, nothing - it's just a flat glass surface. Spray it with some 409 and wipe it clean in no time! I have been using this cooktop for only a few days, and I generally like it, it helps a lot with our kitchen activities. But because it is very loud when in use (the fans keep running even when you turn it off until it's completely cool), and because it heats up not as fast as I would like it, I'm still debating whether to keep it or not.

Bottom line:
Surprisingly impressed by its quality and functionality. Can be used as a tabletop cooktop or installed recessed. Heats up a bit slowly though. Offers temperature control and presets, with an LED display for each burner. Features timer and controls lock. Integrated cooling fans help dissipate heat but are excessively loud. Cleaning is effortless due to the flat glass surface. Still debating whether to keep it due to noise and slow heating. Overall, helpful addition to the kitchen despite some drawbacks. My rating is 4 stars.

This is a nice cooktop that does not take long to heat up. The burners get hot but the rest of it stays cool to touch. it has a lock button that prevents the buttons from being pressed while it is locked and a function button to cycle through preset cooking settings.
THis cooktop can be used anywhere you have access to power. Its lightweight and easy to transport. I moved into a house without a stove/oven and since i have this cook top, i have yet to be compelled to go out and get a stove.

I could not be more disappointed. Where to begin with all that is wrong?

Where to start?
1- Out of the box, the socket for one of the legs is stripped and will not screw in. (Yes, I know how to use a screw driver.) Maybe I can glue it in, but probably not, can't operate it without the legs.
2- The instructions are a joke, what few there are are often indecipherable.
3- The timer on the left doesn't work at all, or else I'm just too stupid to figure it out. I haven't bothered yet with the right one.
4- The 'touch' buttons require that you bang on them with your fingers to activate them.
5- I've got it on max and am still waiting for it to boil a kettle of water. -- 700 degrees, fast boil, almost warm 10 minutes later.
6- The increments are in 100 degrees farenheit, okay for high temps but what about the standard 325-350-375 etc essential for sauteeing, etc.?

All things considered, this may be the biggest piece of garbage I've ever bought.
What a pathetic joke this thing is.
