I purchased the GUDSUNAL 30-inch cooktop last year for my new house and had a great experience with it. Based on that positive experience, I decided to buy the 12-inch version this time, primarily for camping and using in my RV.
Pros:
1. Fast Heating:Just like the larger model, the 12-inch cooktop heats up very quickly. This is especially convenient when I need to prepare meals quickly while camping or on the road.
2. Low Noise: One of the standout features is the low noise level. The fans are much quieter compared to other electric cooktops I've used, making the cooking process more pleasant.
3. Great Performance:The overall performance is excellent. It maintains consistent temperatures and handles various cooking tasks with ease.
4. Easy-to-Understand Instructions:At first, I found the touch controls a bit confusing to use. However, after reading the manual, I found them quite intuitive. The instructions are very well-written, clear, and accurate, reflecting the quality of a major company's product.
Cons:
I haven't encountered any significant drawbacks with this cooktop. It performs well in all aspects I need it to.
Overall, the GUDSUNAL 12-inch cooktop has exceeded my expectations, just like the 30-inch model I bought last year. It's perfect for my camping trips and RV, offering fast heating and a quiet operation. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a compact and efficient electric cooktop.

The controls aren't complicated, but did take some getting used to. When you first plug it in Lo is displayed for locked, not low heat. Holding your finger on the lock button for three seconds unlocks it and it will remain unlocked unless you manually lock it. From there you have to press the burner position button to tell the device which burner you would like to control, then use the up and down arrows to set the temperature level. Because there is only one + and one - button, you have to tell it which burner you are controlling every time you change the temperature. This threw me off a bit, but I got used to it. I would have preferred to have a separate + and - button for each burner rather than having to select a burner each time.
It heats very fast for a standard electric element. I expected heating the pan and cooking an egg to take longer than it does on my induction range, but it took about the same amount of time as usual. Overall I'm impressed with it.
