Once the installation was done, plugged in the power and it works great, no issue at all. The fan was running so quietly, like only 40% of what their own range hood's noise level. This new range hood is rated at 700 CFM, which almost doubled their old one, and upgrading from 30 inches to this 36 inches wide was also a good choice, it helps make their kitchen looks much nicer and provide way way better suction coverage (they cook lot and most Vietnamese dishes have lot of smoke while cooking because we tend to use lot of oil, and doing lot of pan fry and stir fry stuff). The 4 LED lights on each corner provide much brighter lighting. I also really like the baffle filter, it looks like a commercial kitchen, plus it's easier to clean them by just putting them in the dishwasher and have it wash instead of cleaning it by hands.
Another cool feature is the timer, they always leave their old range hood one after cooking to help suck out all the smell and smoke, and sometimes would forget and leave it running for a few hours. Having the timer is great, they can just set it to turn off after 15, 30 minutes or an hour later, no more wasting electricity and its lifespan.
Any other brand name range hood that has similar looks and functionalities would cost at least $300 to $500 more, so to me this is a great deal. I'd totally get this for my house or recommend to my friends if they're shopping for an island mount type range hood.
