    It makes perfect sense that a silicone mat is a good solution to protecting a glass cooktop once the surface temperature is tolerable for the material. The silicone says in place well and keeps the pans from sliding. It also makes the surface a perfect place to set glass pans or baking stones from the oven without worry about scratching the glass. I used a modeling knife to carefully cut out the controls area on the cooktop, and it looks great. The best part is that is prevents the need to clean the glass. You can wipe down the mat in place (microfiber seems to grip too much, so try cotton or a sponge) or pick it up to wash down in the sink. I recommend for anyone deciding to purchase an induction cooktop.

    This is the second mat purchased & the first mat bubbled & peeled about two weeks after return window closed. Second mat four months and is peeling. Of course after return window has closed.

    This mat is great at protecting my new induction range. The width is a half inch too short to cover the entire stove. There is a small lip at the front that it cannot cover.
    My issue with it is that when cooking on high setting, the pans will get too hot for the mat and start cooking the mat. It is a burnt brown color and starts to lightly smoke.
    Cleaning the range is way easy with the mat. It also creates a decent work surface for prepping meals.

    Cut to fit and protects my induction stove top from unsightly scratches and gouges. I am an angry chef like Gordon Ramsey so if the risotto is undercooked that pot is getting thrown. And don't get me started on the wellington... But this mat stays in place and you can cook right on top of it. Just make a note of where your induction zones are.

    The material is a magnet for dust and debris. You cannot wipe it off; you have to remove it and run it under hot work and try and clean it. It fits well but I’m searching for another one.

    This product worked well for the first few weeks, and I used the same exact cookware the entire time, but one day after cooking I removed my cookware for clean up and noticed part of the mat melted . I’m not sure what caused this but I am disappointed that it does not in fact last. Maybe over time it just wears down?? Not worth the money.
