Great Ice maker!

I was skeptical about buying this unit but it has proved to be a great ice maker. I got it 5 months ago and it is still working well. I followed the directions on the set up to the letter, and the next day the ice started flowing. We ran it at least 8 hours a day for 7 or so days to build up extra ice. It works better than the ice maker in our very expensive refrigerator. Ice is soft, no taste and I can fill the ice maker in the refrigerator and it will dispense just fine. Love the capacity too. I can make enough ice in one day to last a week for 5 ice loving people. Yes there is sound when the ice drops but its not loud, not that I sleep in the kitchen, but it wouldn't keep me up if i did! Yes, the ice melts if you don't bag it up after the basket is full, but it's not a hassle and really, what ice doesn't melt? Great product! Great size. Low noise.

I love the ease of this machine. It was easy to set up and made ice quickly. It is a bit noisy but that doesn’t bother me. The ice is great quality nugget ice perfect for ice chewers like me! Overall I love it except for always having to move the ice so it doesn’t get clogged. To me it’s not that big of an issue due to how often I’m refilling my ice.

The unit is very easy to clean due to the removable lid and self clean cycle. This is a major improvement from my previous countertop unit. It's a little noisy, but pretty much on-par with every other countertop unit I've ever been around.

The ice it makes is nice. The are small cubes around the same size as commercial nugget ice. However, they are more dense and less flaky than true nugget ice. They are still chewable and make great drinks, but if you're going to be disappointed if it's not exactly "Sonic ice" or Scottsman, then you should be aware of this. This is my first home nugget machine so I have nothing else to compare on this scale, only the commercial machines.

Overall I feel like I got a good deal for the price paid and plan to keep it.

Slow to make, quick to melt

Very disappointed. Set it up as directed and ran it several times and had the same result: took a long time to make more than just a few nuggets and then it melted away just about as quickly. Lasted a little longer once it made a few more nuggets but still melted away more quickly than had hoped for the price. Took a long time to get enough ice to use for anything. Trays in the freezer will work better!

So far it’s working well. I followed the set up instructions exactly and my first batch of ice was made within about an hour. I had enough for a full large tumbler within 15 minutes. I will say it is very noisy, though. Maybe I’ll get used to it or move it to a room further away. It’s an ice machine so noise should be expected. It makes soft crunchy ice almost identical in texture/taste to Sonic or Chick Fil A. I plan to use bottled:filtered water to prevent any build up.

Very easy to set up. About the size of an air fryer that sits on your counter not being used. This you will use. It's like having a low calorie snack machine sitting on your counter. You cannot walk by it without grabbing a handful of ice to snack on. Small pieces and they last well in a knock off Stanley if that ain't your thing either. Quality is great. Very easy to clean if you follow the directions. Highly recommend

I don’t normally do reviews even though I purchase pretty much everything from Amazon. This is the second one of these I’ve had. I returned the first within days due to a clunky sound and then it would stop making ice. The second one gave us slush the first few days then started putting out nuggets UNTIL it gets frozen up then it gives you slush. Now it works a few hours then starts screeching so loud we have to turn it off for an hour or two. Then we can turn it back on. It works great until it doesn’t. This would be good as backup ice but not as your primary source of ice. I will return this and try another brand as this is the second with mechanical issues.
