Great backsplash

Great backsplash, easy installation and no sharp edges. I needed something to protect refrigerator panel next to stove and this worked perfectly. Just remember remove the plastic film before install as it takes some time to peel off. Packaging was very good but a bit difficult to remove as all corners were screwed in and taped to protect backsplash. Let’s see hopefully will do the job but it does look nice

The packaging for this was amazing, much more interesting than the sheet of steel inside. The box was protected by strong steel corners.
At 22 gauge or .0312 inch, it is thinner than a dime (see photos), but thick enough to do the job. It’s the kind of metal sheet that when shaken sounds like thunder. The edges are a little sharp, so be careful when you mount it. When they cut the backsplash out of a larger sheet of steel, they apparently punched down from what it now the front which caused the burr to be on the back side of the edge. That means when you wash it you are less likely to snag on the edges. The white film covering the front is a little tricky to get started, but then pulls off OK. The 4 mounting holes are about an inch in from the corners and are a little less than .25 inch in diameter. It's easy to put up. Mine went on a painted wood wall, so I was able to use the included screws without first using the wallboard anchors. By the way, this grade of stainless steel holds magnets very well, so if you have magnetic hooks for cooking utensils, they will work fine.

Came without plastic film on it for protection from scratches,,,,,use as a back splash behind stove,a few scratches on it but still looks nice.

Easy install + easy clean

I demoed an old and rotted base cabinet in my apartment and ended up accidentally taking down some of my tile backsplash in the process. I ended up just demoing all the tile backsplash at that point. After repairing the drywall, I decided to skip out on re-tiling. I still needed something to protect the drywall and act as a backsplash, so I ordered this. I was a bit reluctant because I was worried that the stainless steel panel would look sterile, industrial, and just too commercial. I was concerned it just wouldn't aesthetically fit in a home and that it really belonged in a commercial kitchen.

When I received the backsplash it was packaged very securely. It took me about 10 minutes to install. It was a pretty easy process, but I'd recommend doing it with another person and a level.

After it was installed, I was extremely impressed. All of my worries vanished. The backsplash looks fantastic. It looks very modern and high-end. It's easy to clean, and very functional. I can definitely see it becoming more and more popular in homes over the next few years.

Nice piece of Stainless!

Although used as a backsplash, we didn't install as the typical use. It is a backsplash...of sorts....but for our garage, behind a metal chop saw. It's certainly elegant and sturdy enough piece to use in the kitchen if that is your need, but for us, it was most useful to stop sparks from hitting the drywall. It was a pain to pull the saw outside or into the middle of the garage to use it every time, worrying about what the sparks were hitting. This piece of stainless, where it may be overkill for that purpose, we're very happy with the clean look, function for safety and convenience of having it. It arrives extremely well protected, so no worries of bends or scratches. Just unscrew the metal corner protectors, attach it and peel off the protective coating and it's ready to use. Excellent buy for us.

Way easier to clean than a painted wall!

I cook a lot, and the wall behind my stove can attest to that. No matter how good the paint is, continuous cleaning of a painted wall deteriorates the finish over time. My wall was looking a little shabby, so I ordered this EKON stainless steel backsplash to go behind my stove. I had originally planned to put in a tile backsplash, but decided against it because I realized that cooking stains would be difficult to remove from tile grout. This stainless steel backsplash will be perfect! I love the look and durability of stainless steel, and it will match perfectly with my black & stainless steel appliances. It will be so easy to clean too! There is a reason why commercial kitchens use stainless steel. Can’t wait to get this installed so I don't have to keep scrubbing the paint off my wall. I will be able to easily wipe splashes off this stainless steel in seconds.
