I think I installed it corretly. It seemed pretty straight forward but was a little hard to tell for sure if I got it exactly right. Now I have to see if it helps it go longer between freeze ups. We had been a couple years since the only other episode. We have had the fridge for 10 years. We like it except this issue and hoping this item will prove helpful. It appears well made and a nice little kit.

Solved long-term problem

My Samsung refrigerator has had problems with ice buildup, eventually making the fan operate very noisily. For years, I addressed the problem by emptying and turning off the fridge for 12 hours or so, so that the ice buildup could melt. Unfortunately, the freezing episodes became so frequent that I was having to deal with it every ten days or so.
Because the situation was getting out of hand, I was about to go out and buy a new fridge. I decided to do an internet search instead and discovered this product. It has been over a month and there has been no problem as yet, so it has saved me the considerable expense of buying a new appliance.

I just installed this so I can't say how it works. For now this is just a review of the installation process.
The video that came up after scanning the code was very easy to follow. The only trouble I had was that I have alligator arms so reaching into the back, supporting myself and handling the pliers was difficult for me. It's a short person's problem. ????
I suggest having someone with longer arms help.
Besides that, the installation went smoothly. Hopefully it solves the problem of the ice buildup.

Product seems to be good quality and installation was really easy after watching their video. Time will tell if it keeps my fridge from freezing up. If I don’t post an update then it’s working as advertised. Also, ordering from their website would have been cheaper.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to fix this stupid refrigerator! Constantly had ice built up in the back which would freeze the fan and then the fridge would get warm. I've installed 2 or 3 other kits to fix this issue without success. THIS ACTUALLY WORKED! I would recommend this product to anyone with a trash Samsung refrigerator. I'm happy with this product for sure.

Solved my problem

This heating coil fixed my problem refrigerator. The fan would get ice buildup and it would start to make noise and in one case actually stopped working. After physically removing the I e a few times I looked up options on how to fix this problem. This heating coil took less than ten mins to install and my refrigerator has been working perfectly ever since. Super simple and effective. Buy this and stop your worrying
