    This stove cover looks fairly nice with the exception of the dimples introduced to the top face by the handles being crushed into the wood during transport. I got this because I don’t have a lot of kitchen counter space in my house and most of what I have is covered with counter top appliances and food storage containers so I was hoping to be able to use this over my stove as a work space for making bread and pasta. However with the side rails being warped or bowed I’m not sure how well it will work when I need a flat surface to work off of when rolling dough out with a rolling pin.

    I’m not sure who came up with the bright idea of bowing or arching these things considering they are often advertised as being used for serving trays as well. I certainly don’t think placing unstable objects on an arched tray and relying on them not to slide, roll or fall off is such a brilliant idea either.

    The wood looks nice and it is light weight which makes it easy to move around and store when the stove is needed. I’m not sure if I can soak or steam this thing then block the sides to see if I can level or flatten it out, but I may give it a shot. Hopefully the glue is not water soluble or I may end up with a pile of kindling.

    So if you’re looking for a flat surface to work off of, this is not one of them. Weigh your needs and desires carefully before ordering one of these for your own kitchen.

    Getting the negative out of the way. Needs to have better internal packaging. My box was pierced by other objects and it did arrive with a very very small indentation. Nothing that needs to be addressed.

    Now on to the positive:
    Creates Space, especially (obviously) when not cooking! The 30" stove top you have is a GREAT place to do other things e.g. sandwich making, meal prep (grilling) or just getting something off the counter for a short time. We've been looking for this and contemplating since we bought a new stove earlier 2024 (Frigidaire - Gas 5 burner)

    The handles are bit hard to assemble, so be patient. They give you a spare screw and a little screw driver (see images - yes, there are only 4, the fifth dropped on the floor). The screw driver is ample enough, but getting your own (Philips head might be better due to torque & don't tighten all the way, get each screw started and then work them in).

    The screw heads are recessed so you don't have to worry about any scratches as you move it from place to place. I am unsure if I would actually use this to transport food, maybe a pizza (stuffed).

    Lastly, light weight, but not generic and not flimsy. I would HIGHLY recommend people get this to help with storage or even jus to dress up the kitchen.

    This works way better than I anticipated. I guess I expected like a shined-up camp stove. Yeah, that's not this. This is a commercial kitchen stove to-go. I cook professionally & these 2 burners easily do anything I need.

    I didn't install mine in the counter - tough decision. I built a small housing around it & use it as my camp stove. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say that here because it's probably not safe. But I'm an adult & I'm allowed to make decisions, even if they're horrendous. I took extreme precaution when I built it & I take extreme precaution every time I use it. I wish you could see the look on campers' faces when I bust out this puppy. I mean, this thing's nicer than the one my RV came with.

    The high flame gets real high & both burners respond to their controls with precision.

    I've only used propane, I haven't connected it to natural gas.

    The idea of this is genius and is a game changer for a small kitchen. this particular implementation is decent, it is made of some sort of Pinewood that looks fairly decent. the issue is that if you use the oven with this item on the top of it, it bends like a bow. lol There's probably 1/4 inch to half an inch bend between the middle of the board and the ends. I suppose I could just flip it over and turn on the oven again to unbend it But just FYI don't leave it on the top of the oven when you're using it as it is not heat resistant.

    We still use it though and my wife is still pleased with it so it makes that much of a difference in the kitchen.

    Reviewing Wooden Cover for Gas Cooktop and Electric Cooktop, I had been putting a felt cover over our ceramic cooktop but I have to replace it frequently because it’s felt, so hairs and fuzz stick to it and it starts looking bad and drawing focus in the kitchen. Hence this order.

    This is a nice, solid wood, cover for the cooktop. It’s the perfect size for our stove. It does require some light assembly but it’s easy to do and takes around 5 minutes. It’s lightweight and easy to move around also. I do wish it was finished better, maybe with a thicker coating of polyurethane or something similar, only because I worry that water could damage the surface if it was allowed to set on top for too long. It is a solid piece of wood, so I keep the felt pad that I used to use for the stove cover, underneath this cover to protect the stovetop. It’s adds so much more space to my countertops.

    I really love the look of this and it covers my stove just right. But the reason I took off two stars its warped, In the middle under it there is about a inch gap in the center because of it bowing up. I just am hoping it stays together and does not continue to bow and pull apart. For now its working and looks good

    Great idea. Love that I can now use my stove top for other things when I am not cooking. Genius idea. The wood is very light weight so its easy to pickup and move. Assembly is simple, 2 screws on each handle and done. Comes with screwdriver, all you need. I do wish the wood was stained or sealed. It comes in a bare style so you can easily stain or seal yourself I guess. I recommend sealing at a minimum. But overall its a great idea and good quality product,
