3.0 out of 5 stars Good app, but sound stops after a minute or two

As others have noted, this is a good app, except that the sound disappears on my Kindle Fire HDX after about minute or two.
I hope the developers fix this problem.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great except for the glitches

I use this one on my Fire. I would give this program five stars if not for the fact that the sound will randomly cut out and it takes several minutes to work again. Otherwise it is a wonderful program for musicians at any level. I've done ear training as a music major and the program we used in class were not nearly as good as this one, and that program was 80 bucks.

1.0 out of 5 stars no training, just a pop quiz

I thought it would have some sort of lesson or demo to help you learn to hear and identify notes and chords. It's just a simple quiz. It plays the chord or sequence, you click your guess, and it just tells you yes or no. Not helpful to me as a beginner with a tin ear.

The app does just what it says it will. It's a simple tool for ear training, either for the beginner or for the experienced musician who wants to brush up his/her skills. Good product, runs fine, does the job__now if I could only find household appliances and a car that do the same!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to use and effective

I've only had this for a few days, but have become absorbed in it since I am at beginner level and am starting to recognize chords and intervals. That is encouraging for me and it has become a game where I am using this to personally challenge myself.

One of the things that I love is the range of instruments that you can select. I am currently using it set to grand piano, but have also used it set to trumpet and bass. I would love it if tenor sax were added to the list of instrument sounds, but that is just a personal preference on my part.

Reading other reviews I noticed tnat there are some complaints about this freezing. I am version 2.0 of the app on both a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 running Android 4.3 and a Samsung Tab 3 10.1 running Android 4.2.2 and have not experienced any freezing or stopping.

For about a buck this is one of the best investments that I have made since I need to quickly improve my recognition skills (yes, drummers need to know what the musicians they are backing are doing musically). This app is doing just that.

2.0 out of 5 stars app needs work.

For a beginning student trying to learn the different times it is a good tool, except for the fact that in both the interval training and the chord training I lost the sound after 8- 10 questions or test sounds into the use.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad little app
Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2015
Not a bad little app. It's bare bones as far as ear training.

One major thing I'd love to see changed is the sounds it uses, they aren't very clear or nice to listen to.
