5.0 out of 5 stars Around the World in 80 Minutes
Reviewed in the United States on May 20, 2011
...more or less. Can become addictive viewing "Live Cams" at a wide range of locations around the globe and you certainly won't see it all in 80 days. Castles, bridges, skylines, beaches, lagoons "Portofino" and much more. Press "refresh" updating the image to see how far that person has moved across the bridge.... If "people watching" isn't your thing, it's still great to view live images of the many wonders around the world. Fun and enjoyable!

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst ever

This is the worst app I have ever seen. The majority of the cameras are black screens. The others freeze the computer and you have to get out of the program or reboot. There are no live cameras.and the pictures are very poor quality if you are able to make a connection.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor selection of cams, buggy, not the best user interface
Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2011
This is not a well-behaved app on my XOOM. The interface is unintuitive and the app is not very responsive, it crashed a couple of times and the cam selection is poor with some cams on the list being offline or appearing to broadcast still pictures.

There are 5 buttons at the top and I will discuss each briefly:

- All Webcams - the available cams are listed by country and location (can be city only, or city+location, or state+city+location in in the US). At first glance, there seem to be lots of cams to pick from but that's not quite the case. Once you pick something you want to watch, you seem to get an still frame of what the cam was broadcasting at that time. In other words, there is no VIDEO. On some of them you can get an update by pushing the refresh button but that seemed to work about half of the time. Picture quality is obviously dependent of which cam you link to but it is generally okay.
- Map - Don't bother going there. It's where you can crash WoW by double-tapping the screen or by attempting to zoom in with your 2 fingers. It crashes always when you double-tap and when you zoom in and out too aggressively. If you are lucky enough to zoom in to a level of detail where you can pick a cam... well... the app will crash if you attempt to touch it in order to select it.
- Favorites - you can mark your favorite cams and they are saved here. This part works.
- Countries - this is where you can get an idea of how rich (or poor) the selection is. There is a grand total of TWO cams for all of Russia (a very large country), one of them being some fitness club desk. One cam for all of Bulgaria tagged as 'Sofia' (the country's capital) but showing what appears to be a gas station convenience store, a total of THREE cams for the entire New York City of which the one I tried (Brooklyn Bridge) was off at the time I tried it, three cams for Brasil (another large country), one for all of Israel (some beach) and many countries are completely missing.
- Type - is not where you can type in your search words. It's the cams classified by some arbitrary criteria such as Antarctica, Bars and Nightlife, Airports and Unique. Under 'Unique', for example, I found 3 cams of which one shows a truck stop in Texas, another seems to show a lightbulb that stayed on since 1901 (was still on when I checked) and the third was labelled 'Paint Peeling Live' but that camera was dead so there was nothing unique to see.

My evaluation for this app is "I don't like it" (see above why). Hopefully the makers are going to fix the bugs, improve the selection and polish the interface thus turning it into a worthy app. I will be happy to update my review and adjust my rating when these things happen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good for the price
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2012
I enjoy browsing scenes from around the world, so I decided to give this app a try when I saw it's price reduced to 99 cents. It's pretty good, with a large list of webcams. In my opinion, there are three real annoyances with it, however:

1. There are lots of cams that are no longer updating, evidenced by the date displayed on their feeds.

2. When you select a cam, there is no app activity for a few seconds, sometimes longer. Needs an "hourglass" icon or something to show it is working.

3. After selecting a cam from a list, then going back to the list, the list is displayed at the top again. Quite annoying when, say, you've scrolled down a long list, and want to go back to where you left it.

All in all, if you enjoy webcams, this app is worth the 99 cents.
