*About importing projects created by the free version:

*The projects in the free version can be transferred to pro version by hand, using the export to MusicXML and then *import to pro version. But we have noticed that is a boring process. So we'll find ways to make it transfer data *automatically.
*To do this you should export from free version and then import to pro version.
*Follow a few steps below.
*Export:
*Tap the share button on the top-left corner in the overview mode where you could see more than one staff in free *version. A dialog will be shown. Choose "Save MusicXML file to SD" or "Share MusicXML file" as you like to export *the score to a MusicXML file.
*Import:
*Currently you can not browse MusicXML files within the app directly. Alternately you could use some other file *management apps like "Astro" to browse files on your SD card or in other location, then just click the right *MusicXML file and open it with Ensemble Composer Pro. Finally you shout save it before exit.

3.0 out of 5 stars There's defenitely room for improvement...
Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2014
Over all, it's the best by far app for writing and composing music. But it can become better. Because for some reason, I can't get two different lines to play at different volumes. I've set one to piano, and the other to forte, and I just can't seem to be able to put that much more emphasis on any one line.
Furthermore, I'll add to what I previously said regarding volumes. When I place (for example...) mezzo piano on a line where you come in on the first beat (I'd place the mp on the first beat) after saving, or leaving the app, the volume would move somehow to the second or third beat. This messes up my music.
Also, when saving, and I place a repeat sign, | ... :|| like that, I save, and return to this ||: ... | being the last measure. Therefore, I end up with two ||: and the song will not repeat unless I change it once more before playing.
Sometimes the app randomly closes on me. (the un-pro one I have on my mobile device) And sometimes I forget to save every once in awhile. Then, I lose all the music I've just written, and this is VERY very frustrating.

I think there is definitely room for improvement. You should add more instruments, such as cymbals and drums or bongos and change some of the instrument sounds. I don't think they sound very accurate at all, except the piano. You should also add ritardandos, and accelerandos. (I think that's what they're called anyways) And I should be able to add key changes, tempo changes, and time signature changes into the song itself. I'm not talking about going to the settings and switching stuff around, I'm talking about adding it to the score.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great app. It just needs its improvements. I'd love to see this happen in the future and I think a lot more people would buy your app. Perhaps even the $12.99 one, like I have.

4.0 out of 5 stars This wonderful yet decieving app...

I've noticed quite a few very negative reviews on this app giving it a foul reputation. While it is true that on earlier versions of the Kindle Fire, it was even less useful than the free version, on more recent versions, like the Kindle Fire HD 7, it is a gift from the heavens. You may notice that, contrary to the free version, there is no menu on the top left corner when not zoomed into a line. The menu was simply moved. It is now available when the button with three vertical dots is pressed on the bottom right. You can still play the entire piece, export it, change the key signature, everything that was advertised in the free version. However, since the creators did not take into consideration that not every device has the same interface, I cannot allow myself to give this app 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent tool for working musician

Excellent app! Allows real work (working on a string quartet arrangement this evening) to get done even on a phone -- and it's absolutely great to be able to do things in bits and pieces on a screen I always have with me. Seems like a full and effective toolset, and a good touch interface, to set up scores that I then import onto my desktop for final editing and printing. (Also worth noting that I haven't had any of the troubles some of the other reviewers describe; easy to find settings in the paid app, and playback of all staffs works great. WELL worth the money! Very pleased.)

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Disappointing
Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2014
I came here from the free version, which I loved. But I wanted the features advertised for the full version. But the full version is just the free version but without the menu in the top left. This means I can't play my music, add new instruments, or even save. You're dead to me...

2.0 out of 5 stars sorely disappointed
Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2014
I had my father buy this because of the restrictions in the free version, and I believed that this would be better. I was mistaken. Not only does this app not deliver on the things that it promised, it can't even do things that the free version can do. It can't play all the lines at once, it won't change keys as it promised.
Not worth $13.00, not even worth $0.00.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, Yet Quirky
Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2015
I'm kinda having mixed feelings on the pro version of the app since purchasing the full pro version. The app is wonderful for arranging pieces easily for a group the size of a duet to full band ensemble. However, one major issue I have noticed with the pro version is that I can't get more than one line to play at a time.... The app also lacks the ability to change keys per instrument ( EX: when I selected a piece to be in the key of concert B flat major, it gave the trumpet line THEIR B flat key, which is concert A flat for concert pitch instrument so there's some issues with lining that up), Allow for tempo changing ( accelerando and ritardando ) and key/time signature changes mid song. All in all I think it is a fun and cool app, but with the room for improvement and the quirks you deal with I'm not sure it is really worth the $20 it costs at the moment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great on HTC Evo...Please Advise for Kindle Fire HD (7")
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2014
When I purchased Ensemble Composer Pro for my HTC Evo, I was pleased to find out that it surpassed my expectations based on the free "demo" version. Once again, on my Kindle Fire HD (7"), I was sufficiently impressed by the free version that I opted to ignore any negative comments, and opted to pay Amazon for the privilege of obtaining on my Kindle that which the competitors had previously sold me for my HTC Evo.

Although I have found that the comments about the missing menus are, in fact, quite accurate, I am nonetheless very confident that the professionalism of both Amazon and Lotuz will be combined in the development of a solution to this important issue. As such, I am sure that they will reap the benefits of having shown respect for the opinions and suggestions of their highly valued customers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!!!
Reviewed in the United States on May 4, 2014
I've been looking for a good music writing app for a while to write warm up exercises for my trumpet, and this is the perfect app! I read the other comments, but on my Kindle Fire HD, it works perfectly. It plays all my measures at one and has the menu screen. This app, although it is expensive, was totally worth it. It lets you do everything a composer could do on normal paper and it is very user friendly and easy for anyone to use!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!!!!
