Glucool Diabetes Journal is a powerful diabetes management app, helping you maintain your diabetes. You can track key data in your journal, monitor it graphically, send it to your doctor, and much more.

The intuitive interface makes it a breeze to enter all your key data from day to day. The app includes a complete data tracker for monitoring a wealth of data: blood glucose (BG), blood pressure (BP), insulin and medication doses, weight and BMI, carb intake, exercise, and HbA1c. You can create and send e-mail reports (such as to your doctor). Advanced graphing options include highlights (such as your post-lunch values and your daily average) to get a clearer picture of your problem zones, your BG and BP distribution on pie charts, your BMI ranges on your weight graph, and more. You can define custom ranges to easily spot out-of-range readings. You can compute meaningful statistics of your BG values. And the app includes an insulin dose calculator, an alarm system (such as for 2 hours after a meal), and backup/restore options. It is a highly customizable app that enables you to take control of your life.

An Excellent Multiple Use Logbook

This app tracks blood glucose, blood pressure, weight and exercise. I was originally looking for a convenient log because I was tired of buying paper logs that have tiny spaces that restrict the information you can enter. Not only does this work well in that capacity, but it also provides a variety of reports and averages that help track trends. Also, the ability to track BP, weight and exercise has motivated me to pay closer attention to all three. Finally, although some reviewers have reported glitches, I've been using this app daily for several months and it has always worked perfectly.

Good design, but unreliable

This is one of the better implementations for a glucose monitoring program. It's easy to use, and useful. HOWEVER, my experience is somewhat sullied by the fact that it tends to LOSE THE DATA! When it works, it's great for showing the doc how you're doing, but I lost interest after it lost the data not once, but twice.

Not bad, but some issues not resolved/corrected

I've used this app for many months,and generally it works. However, when e-mailing results most readings other than "pre-breakfast" come as being made at "noon." Not a major problem but it should have been addressed .I wrote the developer about this issue and received no responsAlso it occasionally loses a few data points.

I have the android version installed on my Kindle fire.
I have entered a weeks worth of data. Mostly using the bulk entry mode as described by the e-mail help I received after logging a question on the help site.
There are still some issues with not handling errors correctly. If you try and send a report but the android default e-mail is not configured it writes the file in the root directory and then returns with no indication about what happened. Once the default e-mail app is set up when the report is sent it starts the e-mail app with a message to be addressed and sent. A person can also access the report by connecting to the kindle with a usb cable and it is in the root directory.

Easy to use and good information

Having tried other diabetes trackers, I settled on this one because of the various presets for the types of readings (pre-breakfast, post-lunch, post-exercise, etc.) The graphing option and pie chart options have settings that you can adjust to get the specific information you want. When I go to my doctor's office, I can break it down very quickly into different ranges and sub-sets of information. Much easier to use than other, similar apps.
