    I have this app on my pc. Works great. Every feature is available including playback and printing. On Kindle, many commands require a full keyboard right-click and f3,f4 etc. Lastly, the whole app is too small on the kindle screen. I bought the full version. Wish I could get my money back.

    This is a review of the free version (Crescendo NCh Software).

    I can't figure out how to really use this software. I can't find a help button or an instruction set. I can't find how to set the time signature. It is hard to find where to click to get the lines; There doesn't seem to be a copy function, which makes it time-consuming writing pop music. I have no idea how to make a set with treble and bass clef. Nor can I figure out how to make chords. Writing on paper is MUCH easier.
    Tne various notes (quarter, half etc.) are off to the left hidden in black squares so you have to either hunt to find the ones you want or memorize their locations. once you have clicked on one note type, it is easy to place it (drag and drop) as many times as the software will let you.

    It does play the tunes.

    With 4/4 time (default and the only time signature I could get), it blocks you from putting any more than 4 quarter notes before you put in a vertical bar. When I had three quarter pauses at the end of each measure, it only played the first three notes of the first measure. When I removed that one pause, it played three notes, then continued without a pause to play the three notes in the next measure, pause, play the next three notes, pause, etc. It doesn't make sense to me that a pause sign blocks when it is in the first measure but functions as a pause for all subsequent identical measures. Also, when I had three quarter notes, it let me add a whole note before automatically adding a vertical bar. In the next measure, it allowed two whole notes, but in the one after that one, only six quarter notes. Either this is messed up software, or it is using music theory way above my basic knowledge. As I said, I could find no help.
